Brunswick is one of the top teams in northeast Ohio and they got a signature win over Akron STVM in a tight contest throughout. The Irish being unable to stop Drexler from scoring was the difference as he knocked down some insane 3-pointers both moving off the ball. Drexler also showed the ability to attack going right as STVM wanted to shade him away from his dominant left hand whenever possible. While Drexler had to work for almost all his buckets, his combination of tough 3-pointers and efficiency from the free throw line allowed him to score an event-high 36 points.

One of the most skilled players in Ohio, Drexler’s ability to stop and start makes him an impossible cover because the second the defense is on the back foot, they have already lost. Drexler did an excellent job getting to the paint by changing speeds off the dribble and his back-court partner

We had Brunswick second in our Division I preseason rankings and that will certainly put one of their guard duo in the conversation for Mr Basketball. Between Drexler and

were playing at a high level together. On the first possession of the game Drexler hit a deep wing 3 and that was a sign of things to come as the Blue Devils were making it rain all game. Drexler had a couple impressive skip passes to shooters and created shots for his teammates often. When Drexler can spot-up and launch or get to his spots on a pull-up, Drexler is tough to stop as a scorer. In their second game of the day that I didn’t catch, Drexler hit a game-winning shot to close their day 2-0. If Brunswick is going to win a region in Division I, this year with a talented senior guard duo is as good of a chance as they’ll have.

Drexler is a smooth operator on the floor. He has a unique quality when the ball is in his hands there is a calmness. You trust the ball in his hands because of his decision-making and scoring ability. He has a confidence on the court as well. He has a great shooting touch that allows the ball to drop if it hits the rim. He can knock down shots at a high level from midrange and beyond. He is a knockdown catch-n-shoot player.

Admittedly, I’m not nearly as familiar with prospects from Ohio as I am with those from the Hoosier state. Therefore, I don’t recognize even some of the top prospects like this Brunswick High School product just by looking at them. However, it only took a few minutes of watching Ohio Basketball Club to recognize that Drexler was not only their best player but one of the top Class of 2026 backcourt prospects in the state of Ohio. The left-handed guard is so smooth and skilled with the ball in his hands and poured in scoring performances of 27 and 30 points over the weekend.

One of the top guards in the state of Ohio, Drexler went off for 30 points as Ohio Basketball Club 17u defeated NOVA Village – Brown 17u early in Saturday’s action. The 6’0″ left-handed guard showcased some impressive shot-making ability while also getting paint touches consistently off of the dribble. He has a sneaky burst of athleticism and changes speeds with ease. Really impressive prospect that holds a couple of in-state mid-major offers.

Drexler was cooking in the second half for his team knocking down some insane shots from 3-point range and getting to the basket and finishing with his left hand. One of the most talented scorers in Ohio, Drexler was doing the things I saw him do this winter with Brunswick alongside high school teammate

in the backcourt for OBC. A prospect mid major programs should be making a priority during live period events, Drexler is extremely talented on the offensive end of the court.

One of the top scorers in northeast Ohio, it should come as a surprise to nobody that he was shooting the lights out against one of the top teams in Texas. Drexler did an excellent job moving without the basketball and knocked down 6 of 8 3-point attempts. As a slasher, Drexler used his craftiness to draw fouls and shot more free throws than Faith Family’s entire team. Few guards at the high school level impact the game like Drexler does.

One of the most dominant offensive performances I’ve seen this season, Drexler was cooking for Brunswick as he finished with 36 points. Doing a bit of everything offensively, Drexler knocked down some insane pull-up 3-pointers in this one. One of the best shot-makers in Ohio, Drexler is a guy you have to guard within 28 feet of the rim. One of the more underrated parts of Drexler’s game is his ability to finish at the rim. Drexler does an excellent job of shielding his body from shot contests and can acrobatically finish with either hand by putting the perfect amount of spin on the basketball. You won’t find many more talented scorers in Ohio.
