The 6-foot-6 stretch forward has a smooth shot from beyond the arc, has the frame to score through contact in the paint, and makes good reads to open teammates cutting off the ball or up the court off the defensive rebound. Hibbert is coming off a strong showing at the annual NorCal Tip-Off, earning Player of the Game honors in a win over Moreau Catholic. Hibbert kept up the long-range shooting in Vanden’s first two games of the showcase, with 7 points and 9 points respectively, connecting on 5 threes over the two games. Hibbert moves fluidly off the ball, is accurate with the 3-ball off the catch, which opens up the court by pulling bigger defenders away from the basket. Hibbert has solid handles, uses the crossover and between cross to create space from his defender, has a quick release on the jumper with limited space needed to get his shot off, and is effective on shots through contact. I saw him live at the California Live Scholastic event in late June and he had a game with 6 threes, showing his ability to score in volume.

A solid body forward who can handle the physical play inside. He can be forceful working his way through the post, using his body to finish around the rim, hit the paint jumper, and get rebounds. He’ll look to spot up in the corners and around the perimeter for quick release, catch and shoot 3’s. He can get hot.

Hibbert showed us he can be an effective shooter from behind the 3-point line. He sprinted the court, got himself shot ready in the corners, with a good release, he’ll have to be accounted for. He can put the ball on the floor, use his body and balance to finish around the rim. He can rebound.

He’s a good all around prospect combining power and strength, along with different ways to finish in the paint, using balance, one dribble, two feet, playing through contact. Standing 6’4 he handles, moves and works well out away from the basket, using his dribble drives to finish at the rim, hitting mid-range jumpers and dropping 3’s around the perimeter. He’ll bang for rebounds.

He’s playing under control and using his body to get things done on both ends. He’s standing around 6’5 with an outside/ in game. He’s an aggressive player when makes his move using a couple of dribbles to get closer, he’s putting up 3’s with confidence around the perimeter. He’ll hit the boards, and defend bigger players. He could be a double double guy at this level. We’ll see (58 to 32).

The big guard did a bit more ball handling and passing in the open court and in transition this spring and summer playing 15U. He plays under control and makes good use of his body to help protect the ball on his drives into the paint, and handling contact in the paint. He has range to knock down the 3pt shot, and a body to help rebound.
