MOUNT HOREB -- In a non-conference battle, Mount Horeb upset previously third-ranked Onalaska 84-77 at home on Saturday...

[player_tooltip player_id='1203029' first='Evan' last='Anderson'] - 2024 - SG - Onalaska

Love what Anderson can do when he gets two feet in the paint. You look at his body type and think he's just going to be a shooter. Then you watch Anderson put the ball on the deck and the way he knifes into gaps -- there's some serious pop and explosion on the ball. Anderson had a couple of breakaway dunks where he just accelerated past the defense. Anderson's got long strides too, which is a nightmare as a defender, trying to keep pace laterally. As soon as you over-extend, Anderson's going to put defenders in the spin cycle. At 6-foot-4, Anderson is a little wiry and has a little chip to him. He finished with 19 points, six rebounds, four assists, and three steals in the loss.

Austin Leibfried - 2024 - PF - Mount Horeb

Saw this kid over the summer and put him on our radar. Thought Mount Horeb could have gone to Leibfried more, as they had a big advantage inside, but with the way the Vikings were shooting the ball, it's hard to blame them. Leibfried notched 12 points in Saturday's win. A big body with a wide frame, Leibfried makes it next to impossible for defenders to take away solid post position. The 6-foot-5 junior also has a soft touch around the rim and shows some ability to shoot from the outside.

[player_tooltip player_id='1561888' first='Josh' last='Manchester'] - 2026 - G - Mount Horeb

After he hit a 40-footer at the buzzer to end the first half...it was on for Manchester. In crunch time, the freshman had no fear, letting it fly with a hand in his face on back-to-back triples, which proved to be a huge momentum swing during desperation time for Onalaska. Manchester poured in 19 points, including a 4-of-7 effort from 3-point range. He knocked down a pair of big 3-pointers in the latter stages of the game. When the Hilltoppers turned up the pressure and tried to take Mount Horeb out of their comfort zone, you didn't see this youngster get rattled and he continued to make plays and avoid the mistakes Onalaska was hoping to feast off of.

Zach Peter - 2023 - PG - Mount Horeb

You looked up and all of a sudden Peter had 21 points. The senior point guard had a huge stretch where Onalaska was battling back, but Peter broke down the defense and converted some acrobatic layups that really ended up being the difference. Peter took some risks, trying to finish over the top off-balance, but they paid off big time and sucked the like out of the Hilltoppers after defending for a minute-plus or after Mount Horeb had broken the press. Peter cashed in at the free throw line late in the game and took a charge with under five minutes to go on a play that would have pulled Onalaska within 68-64.

[player_tooltip player_id='1289051' first='Rocco' last='Richie'] - 2023 - SG - Mount Horeb

You could just see there was a point in the game where the Vikings started to believe and their confidence soared as shooters. Everything was falling for a large chunk of the second half and it all started with Richie's shot making. The senior guard got off to a phenomenal start, scoring 11 quick points on three triples. Richie would finish with a game-high 22 points, including some big 3's late that kept Onalaska at bay, but more importantly, his scoring just resonated through the entire lineup. The Hilltoppers came out swinging early and led by as many as 14, but Richie just kept plugging away and also showed up late when his team needed him. A smooth outside shooter, Richie knocked down six of his eight attempts from beyond the arc.

[player_tooltip player_id='1390114' first='T.J.' last='Stuttley'] - 2025 - G/W - Onalaska

Stuttley 21 points (8-14), six rebounds, and six assists in the loss. A top-five prospect in the 2025 class, Stuttley has a versatile, all-around game. You can put him anywhere on the perimeter offensively or defensively. The 6-foot-5 sophomore likes to get downhill and use a sweeping crossover to get defenders off balance. When he's able to mix in the mid-range jumper, Stuttley becomes very difficult to defend at his size, able to rise and fire over a contest. With Onalaska struggling in the second half, Stuttley put the team on his back and rallied them within striking distance. Although his team came up short, loved the sense of urgency Stuttley played with, trying to fire up his team, not only with his aggressive, attacking play on both ends, but vocally as well.
