Spring Classic: 5 Players To Watch
This weekend is a big one in Indianapolis for the AAU scene as Nike, Under Armour, and tons of other events will be in town for the second live period. With that, we are taking a look at some of the top players at each event. Here are 5 players to watch at Spring Classic from Indiana.
Hayden Langkabel – 6’0 | PG | 2018 | Morristown (IN) | Indiana Legends 2018
This past weekend was a bit of a coming out party for Langkabel as college coaches lined up to watch him for his first game. Now, he’s got to keep the momentum going and he’s got the mentality to be consistent all summer long.
Brigham Booe – 6’1 | PG | 2018 | Northview (IN) | DistinXion CHAMPIONS 2018 Red
Booe is a guy that can compete for being one of the top point guards in the state with his size, scoring ability, and attitude. He’s going to have to continue to shoot the ball well from distance but if he does he should be a guy small colleges take a look at.
Spencer Piercefield – 6’0 | PG | 2019 | Center Grove (IN) | Indiana Elite Metro 2019
Piercefield is looking like one of the biggest risers in the 2019 class. He was on fire last weekend. We want to see it again. He’s got more size now and if the shot is legit, his stock should really increase moving through this live period.
Edreece Redmond II – 6’0 | PG | 2020 | Bishop Chatard (IN) | Indiana Elite North 2020
Edreece isn’t a highly talked about kid in the 2020 class but every time we have watched he has been impressive. Has size, speed, and creativity. If you get a chance to watch him he should do the same thing.
Kiyron Powell – 6’7 | PF | 2020 | Evansville Bosse (IN) | Kell Hoops Academy 2020
Powell is a long, lanky forward who will show a ton of promise as a shot blocker and rebounder. His ability to put the ball on the floor and handle it is what leads us to think he has a lot of room to grow. Need to see progression but a good prospect in the class.
