The annual National Prep Showcase took place in New Haven, Connecticut again this year, and it featured some of the top post grad teams across the country. It was 3 days of nonstop action in front of tons of college coaches and NBA scouts, and the amount of next level players in the event is second to none.

We'll take a look at some of the many standouts from the event over the next week. Here's a look at part five of the top players from the New England teams in attendance.

[player_tooltip player_id='1081817' first='Marvin' last='Musiime-Kamali'] | 6'5” WF | Cushing 2023

The Akron commit was very impressive for Cushing who had an unfortunate set of games where they went 0-2, losing the first one to Mt. Zion on a buzzer beater and losing to Sunrise Christian in triple overtime. However, they will be a very good team and the high flying Musiime-Kamali will be a big reason as he makes highlight reel plays on both ends of the floor, and even had an alley-oop finish that went viral on multiple social media platforms. The 6'5” wing is a pogo stick leaper who plays well above the rim, he brings great energy and he makes winning plays on both ends of the floor. He finished both games averaging 11.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.

[player_tooltip player_id='1468246' first='Jack' last='Margoupis'] | 6'8” PF | Cushing 2023

Cushing was playing without their starting center in [player_tooltip player_id='1231821' first='Luke' last='McEldon'] who is committed to UC Santa Barbara, so Margoupis moved from the four to the five to help replace him and the Albany commit was fantastic as he showed he's a walking mismatch who can stretch the floor and is a consistent producer. At 6'8” he stepped out and shot the ball very well from deep especially in their game against Mt. Zion, he rebounded well and was surprisingly strong defensively in the post and he showed good mobility moving his feet defensively. He finished with 19 points on 7-for-12 shooting from the field and 4-for-8 from deep with 4 rebounds in their loss to Mt. Zion.

[player_tooltip player_id='1464583' first='Adrian' last='Uchidiuno'] | 6'3” CG | Cushing 2023

There weren't many two way players that were more impressive that Uchidiuno, as the Brown commit was fantastic for Cushing playing with great energy and making things happen in different ways. The 6'3” combo guard has an explosive first step and gets downhill where he can throw down the hammer, he's a lock down defender who can guard the length of the floor and jumps passing lanes and he can change the course of the game with his defensive ability. He averaged 12.5 points and 6 rebounds in their two games.

Nigel James | 6'0” PG | Cushing 2025

James didn't play in Cushing's first game against Mt. Zion, and that may have been the difference maker in that close loss as he came back for their matchup against Sunrise Christian and was fantastic off the bench as he showed he can score the basketball with the best of them. Despite being one of the youngest players on the team, they entrusted him to score the ball which he showed he can do from all three levels, he's shifty and gets to spots with ease and has great balance to get shots off and he stays in attack mode and was efficient in his scoring. He finished with 21 points on 10-for-14 shooting from the field in their three overtime loss to Sunrise.

[player_tooltip player_id='1489329' first='Umari' last='Seney'] | 6'2” CG | Bradford Christian 2024

Bradford Christian was a very impressive team that went 1-1 on the weekend with a win over First Love and a loss to IMG, and Seney was part of a deep group of guards and wings that makes them so explosive offensively. The 6'2” combo has long arms and good size on the perimeter, he can knock down shots both on and off the basketball and he's a good rebounder and defender at his position too. He finished the event averaging 10.5 point and 5 rebounds per game.

Luke Toews | 6'2” PG | Newman School 2024

Newman only played in one game in the event on the last day of the event in a loss to St. Benedicts, but it only took that to see that Toews was one of the best floor generals in the event and it's easy to see why he has offers all the way to the A10 already. He has incredible feel and vision as he sees cutters and catches defenses in rotation, he's shifty off the bounce with good change of pace and directions to get in the lane and he's a crafty finisher around the rim too. He finished with 10 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists in their loss to St. Benedicts.
