Jackson possesses notable upside given his athletic talents coupled with growth as an on-ball playmaker. The 6’5 power forward out of Salida made highlight plays throughout his high school career. He has the ability to be among the top players in 3A and likely all classes from a rebounding and shot blocking point of view. Jackson’s bread and butter is out manuevering opponents on the glass. There are few athletes with Jackson’s vertical pop, however another round of playoffs should resolve some of his relative mystery. On relatively low volume, Jackson shot 35% (40 attempts) on three point attempts, a key swing skill for the senior power forward. Going into his senior year, Jackson ranks 30th in the class and 11th among power forward prospects.
Aiden Prechtel Aiden Prechtel 6'8" | C Discovery Canyon | 2023 State CO – Discovery Canyon – PF
Prechtel is a capable rebounder who brings high upside as a post defender coming into his senior season. Standing right around 6’8, Prechtel possesses legitimate size to defend the post versus both 4s and 5s. The senior had a steady presence last season, averaging 10.6 points and 8 rebounds while posting nine games with 10+ rebounds. Prechtel remains a possible diamond in the rough, you cannot teach height after all. Coming into the season, Prechtel sits at 68th in the class and 4th among centers.
Nathan Davies Nathan Davies 6'7" | PF Colorado Springs Christian | 2023 State CO – Colorado Springs Christian – PF
Davies has clear size at 6’7, showing signs of tangible growth from the perimeter. The incoming senior forward was largely an unknown last season, although he could be a late riser throughout the season. Davies will look to solidify himself as a key shot blocker in 3A, averaging 1.1 during his sophomore season and setting him 7th among 3A sophomores. The forward’s progression as a spot up shooter will be an area of intrigue, given his high release point in conjunction with the clear height advantage. Fullcourt ballhandling is another area of progression for Davies, showing improved footwork versus on-ball pressure. The senior frontcourt player currently sits 76th overall and 15th among power forwards.
Noah Bishop Noah Bishop 6'7" | PF Conifer | 2023 State CO – Conifer
Bishop will be worth a look for division III programs, as the 6’6 forward has continued to refine his spot up shooting. Bishop will be noteworthy due to his offensive upside as a stretch forward while already very consistent going up with the left hand. The power forward has largely been used as a rim roller and dump off target, proving to stay strong versus tight contests. The forward consistently competes on the glass, proving to find a body nearly every rebounding opportunity. The area of intrigue resides in Bishops shooting confidence, already proving to be a perimeter threat when left open. Alongside the shooting improvements, Bishop will need to bolster his strength as a means of leveraging his positional versatility. This past season at Conifer, he averaged 9.7 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 2.2 blocks per game. Coming into the season, Bishop lands 85th in the class and 16th among power forwards alongside an offer from Doane.
