Diggins is a key name within the 2023 class, given his athleticism and crafty skillset scoring the rock. Standing right around 6’3, the combo guard has proven himself as a downhill scoring threat going either direction. Diggins possesses long strides that allow him to quickly create space off the dribble one on one. He has progressed as a pull-up shooter within the mid-range, doing well utilizing the step back and turnaround jumper. Arguably the biggest swing skill for Diggins will be his defensive awareness off the ball, given his plus reach. At Faith Christian, the combo guard averaged averaged 9.9 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game. Within the 2023 class, Diggins ranks 57th overall and 13th among combo guards.
Hunter Guiles Hunter Guiles 6'2" Valor Christian | 2023 CO – Valor Christian
The senior combo guard will be one of Valor’s key shotmakers this season. At roughly 6’1, Guiles is highly effective as an off the dribble shotmaker, especially effective within three dribbles. The combo guard has proven to be a tough cover going right, given his tight handle under pressure. Keeping tabs on his assist numbers will play a major role in Guiles’ offensive upside. This past season at Valor, Guiles averaged 8.1 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game. The combo guard currently ranks 81st in the 2023 class and 16th among combo guards.
Cade Gedeon Cade Gedeon 6'3" | CG Steamboat Springs | 2023 CO – Steamboat Springs
Gedeon immediately adds energy as a driver and tough finisher around contests. The 6’3 combo guard plays the game at an intuitive, yet very quick pace. Gedeon is most efficient as an off-ball scoring threat, who has proven to make instinctive passes off the bounce. The guard does well elevating above opponents, capable of finishing around the rim with either hand. At Steamboat Springs, the combo guard averaged 11.6 points, 6.9 rebounds, 5.1 assists, and 3.6 steals per game. Gedeon currently ranks 86th overall and 17th among combo guards.
Kingston Jones – Englewood
Jones will have an important role coming into his senior year at Englewood, following the departure of three key senior scorers. The combo guard brings a throwback skillset within the paint and off the dribble mid-range scoring. Jones has notable size at 6’3 complimented by a fairly high release point on the jumper. Throughout Englewood’s fall league, Jones made key passes to cutters out of the mid-post. This past season at Englewood, Jones averaged 6.1 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.9 steals per game.
Ray Aragon Ray Aragon 5'9" | CG Pueblo South | 2023 State CO – Pueblo South
Aragon brings upside as a pick and roll playmaker, alongside room to grow as a high energy defender. Standing right around 5’10, the combo guard is espeically confident handling the ball in traffic. Possessing a fairly low center of gravity, Aragon is dependable changing directions on a dime. Given his ballhandling confidence, Aragon keeps his eyes up for cutters or diving rollers. This past season at Pueblo South, the combo guard averaged 13.4 points, 4.2 assists, and 3 steals per game. Within the 2023 class, Aragon ranks 39th overall and 11th among combo guards.
