<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Prep Hoops Illinois Top 250 Camp is a wrap!&nbsp; We are breaking it down from all angles!&nbsp; Today checkout <strong>PHI Top 250: Top 2024 Performers</strong>!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Darshan Thomas (Fenwick)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Thomas had a monster showing as one of the breakout players of the event.&nbsp; This 6'4” small forward was explosive slashing using his long strides to get to the rim where he finished with dunks.&nbsp; High-motor kid that has a nose for the ball.&nbsp; Showed he was capable as a shooter as well hitting several threes.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1285519' first='Stefan' last='Cicic'] (Riverside Brookfield)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Cicic is one of the most physically imposing big men in the state regardless of class.&nbsp; Big bodied five absolutely mauled his weaker opponents on the offensive glass.&nbsp; Man among boys rebounding the basketball.&nbsp; Plays physical posting up and has a nice right handed hook shot.&nbsp; Solid post defender that blocks shots on occasion.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1541243' first='DJ' last='Strong'] (Bolingbrook)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Strong was outstanding for his squad in the game we saw.&nbsp; The 5'10” lefty guard is a crisp ball handler that has a soft touch finishing game in the paint.&nbsp; Really liked how well he passed it getting his teammates involved whipping it around the floor.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1295542' first='Bryce' last='Welch'] (Naperville North)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This Naperville North 6'1” point guard is a slick ball handler that can pop threes pulling up behind ball screens.&nbsp; Has smooth acceleration toward the rim and active hands on the defensive end.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1541232' first='AJ' last='Levine'] (York)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Levine was excellent early on the day.&nbsp; The athleticism really showed well for the York guard.&nbsp; He got to the rim for dunks and slashed with force in transition.&nbsp; Creative ball handler that showed a different level of game off the bounce than we had previously seen out of him.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1183048' first='Kaleb' last='Jackson'] (Carmel)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Jackson is a player that we liked when we saw him during the summer and he continues to develop.&nbsp; Scoring lead guard with long arms that handles it well in the open floor, makes quick dishes, and has a burst with the ball.&nbsp; Range on his shot.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1295596' first='Jimmy' last='Tarjan'] (Loyola)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This 6'4” 2024 small forward played with a lot of swagger and knocked in shots at a super high rate from the perimeter.&nbsp; Excellent size and form on his three point shot!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1598709' first='Germaine' last='Benson'] (Hyde Park)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Hyde Park 6'0” scoring guard was an absolute bucket at the Top 250 Camp!&nbsp; Benson has such great burst with the rock in his hands exploding past defenders in both the half court and transition.&nbsp; Also proved to be an adequate three point shooter at the camp.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
