Newell is really thin, but also has great length that he uses to dominate as a rim protector. He recorded 9 blocks in Madrid’s loss to go with 10 points and 8 rebounds. He has great timing as a shot blocker and is a game-changing presence on the defensive end. His offensive game is still a work in progress, but his size and defensive ability make him an intriguing prospect for small schools around the state to monitor.
