-Bradford’s ability to slice through defenses was very apparent throughout the matchup with Mt. Zion. He sets up his man well before the ball screen arrives by reverse dribbling to create the best angle to come off the ball screen and usually makes good reads when he gets downhill. Bradford hit shots from all three levels, was dynamic in transition, and used that scoring gravity to make plays for teammates in the halfcourt.

5/23/25: BJ is a guy you might be unfamiliar with. He moved to Chattanooga from Nebraska before last season to train and compete with Hamilton Heights Christian Academy. This is Bradford’s first season with Team Mookie and by all accounts it is a great one. Bradford was yanked for an ill-advised dribble midway through the second quarter. He tried to carve up a dude on the run. Even if he did it was a 1-on-3 essentially, so the outcome was likely going to be poor. He did not get by the first man and the turnover quickly came back into Team Mookie’s face. The error was just one play. In the third quarter Bradford missed TWO layups. Considering the deficit Mookie faced at that time the misses really stung. Selfish, at times.

BJ Bradford BJ Bradford 5'11" | PG Hamilton Heights | 2026 State TN will be transferring to Lincoln Southwest this upcoming year to team up with some high level talent. Last winter at Lincoln Southeast, Bradford averaged just over 8 points and three assists per game as a Sophomore. He is the type of player that can get hot fast, especially from deep. Bradford is also a very crafty playmaker with great open court vision. He will look to help lead the Silver Hawks on a deep run in Class A, and build off of his impressive Sophomore year.
