Hammond has several two-sport athletes on their roster and Haltiwanger was one of them who stood out on the basketball court at the Cayce Roundball Classic. Although he is a very good athlete, Jaiden is a polished basketball player. He is a knockdown perimeter shooter, a good ball-handler, an active defender, and a strong finisher. The Skyhawks matchup with the Bearcats was played at a very physical pace, so Haltiwanger excelled in battling through contact on both ends of the floor. He put up 16 Points in Hammond’s first-round loss.

was very impressive for USC Unleashed at the E.P.I.C. Hoops Summer Slam and is now one of my standouts from this event in back-to-back years. He is a true shot-maker who put up 20 Points with 3 3PM thanks to his pure form that is efficient from behind the arc and the mid-range. Haltiwanger is also a terrific athlete who had a couple of impressive transition finishes of steals and defensive rebounds. Jaiden is versatile on the defensive end thanks to that athleticism and his strong frame, and guarded 1-4 in the matchup with Upward Stars Gold Saturday.

Haltiwanger did a great job of creating his own shot off the bounce and that perimeter scoring helped his team come back in the 2H to make it a close game. Effective on or off the ball in USC Unleashed’s fullcourt press, his close-out angles and poke-outs helped his team force turnovers before scoring or getting to the line to cut into the lead.
