Check out my analysis on the real GameChangers who I got to get a look at here in Dallas this weekend! These talented prospects shined every second they were on the court, and are really starting to turn heads with their play. Do not be surprised when you see these names pop up everywhere once the season starts to get rolling…
Gilbert Aluga Gilbert Aluga 6'6" | PF Liberty Frisco | 2026 TX 2026 6’5 Liberty Frisco High School
Highlights
Gilbert has an incredibly impressive body at this stage in the game, standing at a full 6’5 already and has great strength on his frame already. He is great at using his size to his advantage, especially with his back to the basket. He clears space and punishes them as he gets to his spots with his back to the basket. A consistent finisher down low, he is great at cleaning up the offensive glass and being in the right spot for an easy dump off pass after his teammate draws the attention of the big.
There were multiple instances where he showed his heads up play style, making the right outlet pass up the court and also cutting the defense apart out of the high post. He had one play where he put a football style pass right on the money to hit a streaking teammate. He displayed a solid handle for his size as well, handling the ball in the half court and getting into post moves from it with ease.
Defensively, he rejects shots and more importantly contests on the perimeter all the time! I would like to see him work on boxing out, he is good at getting into the position to box someone out but does not finish it. He needs to work on really sealing them with his frame and weight and keeping them from having a chance to leap over him or even get it if it goes over their heads. With his frame, he could easily be pushing kids back to the three point line! Once he gets more aggressive every time a shot goes up, he will easily collect fifteen plus rebounds per game over the next few years.
Tre Neal Tre Neal 6'4" | PF Bosqueville High School | 2026 TX 2026 6’4 Bosqueville High School
Tre is an incredibly fluid prospect who can play the 3-5 with ease. He possesses great shot mechanics for his size already and confidently scored across all three levels of the floor. I was most impressed with how well he was able to quickly get off shots from the perimeter, he was always ready to catch and shoot from the corners and wing positions. His dynamic ability to calmly score no matter who was defending him was very impressive. He dominated smaller defenders on the interior and was not afraid to step out and show off his range from beyond the arc.
Tre is a strong defender down low, calmly blocking shots and forcing his opponents to second guess their decision on the way to the rim. He changed his opponents shot angles or just flat out sent their shot out of play. I would like to see him focus on his intensity on the glass, there were times where he got lazy and did not box out as hard as he possibly could. He has all of the tools to become a dynamic weapon at the next level, especially as he continues to grow his handle and develop his game.
Myrick Solomon Myrick Solomon 6'6" | SF Spectrum | 2026 MN 2026 6’2 Byron P. Steele High School
Myrick is a skilled wing/ forward prospect who showed an ability to affect the game from the outside in, or inside out. He shot the ball well from the outside, but I would like to see him work on tightening up his mechanics from beyond the arc. I was very impressed with his attention to detail on the defensive end of the court. He is a vocal leader, who calls out rotations and assignments to his teammates. His head was always moving and scanning the floor to ensure that no one was slipping behind him or beating a teammate with a backdoor cut. He showed a willingness to do the little things as well, he rebounded the ball and kept his head up to push the tempo himself or make the right outlet pass. His attention to detail on the glass on both ends of the court allowed him to get easy second chance points and end defensive possessions.
Levi Ball Levi Ball 6'3" | SF Salado | 2026 TX 2026 6’3 Salado High School
Levi is a high level wing/ forward prospect with his ability to rebound the ball and punish the defense from perimeter. He has a very consistent release from the outside and knocked down shots in the corners and on the wings. He has great mechanics and a high release point, allowing him to shoot over anyone at his level right now. One of the best aspect that he showed on the court was his hustle and energy on the court, he flew all over the court after loose balls and long rebounds. His energy gave his team extra possessions time and time again, and he was a big reason why his team had success. On the glass, he high pointed rebounds very well, and always seemed to box out an opponent every time a shot went up. I would like to see him continue to develop his handle and shot off the bounce.
