Brown stole the show with his impressive 24-point performance, leaving no doubt as to why he’s ranked as the top Point Guard in the Class of 2025. He showcased his refined basketball skills, demonstrating to the entire gym why he’s a standout player. Brown is one of the smartest players you’ll see on the court, with a deep understanding of the game. Against Bossier, he took on a heavy scoring load, but he also excelled on the defensive end and effectively facilitated the offense. Regardless of the gym, state, or level of competition, this young player is a proven scorer and a difference-maker. If college coaches are looking for a guard who can elevate a program or provide strong leadership, they need to keep Brown on their radar. He was in complete control from start to finish, and it’s clear that he has the skills and intangibles to excel at the next level.

Brown was easily the most polished and poised player on the court, standing out in every aspect of the game. With a strong, well-built basketball frame, he showcased his blazing speed and lightning-quick agility in both games I watched. As a playmaker, Brown has an innate ability to make the game look effortless for his teammates, threading the needle with pinpoint passes and setting them up for easy buckets. As a scorer, he’s elite at all three levels—knocking down deep threes, pulling up in the mid-range, and finishing at the rim with power and finesse. His on-court confidence radiates through his teammates, empowering them and elevating their performance to new heights.
Brown is a must-watch player, known for always making the right play. His basketball IQ is off the charts, and his leadership is undeniable—he’s a vocal leader, a true floor general who directs traffic like a coach on the hardwood. The Avoyelles guard is primed to reap the rewards of his hard work, and his team will undoubtedly thrive under his leadership and superior basketball skill set. Whether he’s orchestrating the offense or taking over as a scorer, Brown’s impact is undeniable—he was the heartbeat of his squad, and his ability to influence the game on both ends of the floor makes him an invaluable asset.

The top point guard in the 2025 class and arguably the best point guard in the state is who Brown is. He has been on go mode seemingly since the playoffs began in February. All summer, and into this showcase season, he has been one of the top players every time he steps on the floor. He will need to do the same today with a different set of players. Low majors have shown interest in him. He can solidify that interest in a setting like the Jr./Sr. Academy.

Jalen is a smooth lead guard that relied on his soft floater when he got into the paint. In his 1st game he scored the 1st four points for his squad using his go to floater. Not just a finesse finisher, Brown exploded for a nice two foot finish over a defender in the paint! Defenders had a tough time trying to contain him and keep him out of the paint. Finished with 22 points in his first game.
