Another unique facet of Evans' playstyle comes from his positional strength. He is more than capable muscling through screens or taking a low blow without faltering. Standing roughly 6'3, the shooting guard has become especially potent as a downhill driver, notably coming off of crossovers. Baldessari does a great job making proactive decisions within three dribbles, whether it is a pull-up jumper, seeking out contact, or making the extra pass. In my book, Homer is one of the best off-ball movers in the state regardless of class. His timing while attacking passing lanes is a major contributor to his success. Although Homer has always had some hops, he appeared to be making clear strides as a vertical leaper and shot blocker at this weekend's elite camp. Homer is also more than capable guarding 1s and potentially some 2s once adding a little more strength. Given he has all the lateral quickness necessary to match up on the perimeter. One area of improvement will be his pull-up shooting, although he is more than capable getting to his spots. Point guard accurately describes his role, where he is active hitting halfcourt outlet passes or making tight passes in space. Within the halfcourt, Gardner can break you down one on one or use a screen to create a driving lane, where he is consistent finding shooters out of drive and kick situations. On drives, Gardner does a great job digging into opponents and lowering his center of gravity.
