PHD: Walk me through your off-season. What did you do to improve your basketball game?

“This summer was filled with a lot to lifting, agility, and basketball workouts.“

PHD: What’s one specific part of your game you focused on improving this offseason, and where do you feel like you’ve made the most progress?

“I focused on improving my mid-range shot and extending my range. I’ve also made progress on being able to score each level.“

PHD: What does your fall look like right now? Are you playing another sport, or is it all basketball focused?

“This fall I’ve been going to open gyms, lifting, and getting up shots to get ready for the upcoming season.“

PHD: What are your goals for the coming season, both individually and for your team?

“My goal for this season is to be a good leader for the underclassmen and to be a competitive team in our region.“

PHD: Can you give some insight on an influential coach you have had? What made them memorable?

“Scott Majkrzak was my travel basketball coach in 5th, 6th and 7th grade. He taught me lots of lessons about basketball and life that I still carry with me.“

PHD: Time to give a shout to a teammate…Who do we need to know about from your high school team?

“Zander Compson is a returning starter for us and he uses his length and vertical very well to block and contest shots.“

PHD: Who is your favorite player to watch in college or the NBA, and why?

“My favorite NBA player to watch is Paul George because of his ability to score at every level.“

PHD: Where do you feel like your game has grown the most in the past year or two?

“I think my 3-point shot has been my biggest improvement from the past two seasons.“

PHD: Who pushes you the hardest, whether that’s a teammate, a coach, or someone you train with?

“My teammates are always pushing me in practice or in open gym. We all try to make each other better.“

PHD: Where is your hot spot on the floor or can you tell us about a “go-to” move you like to use?

“My hot spot is mostly in the paint where I can get to a floater or to the rim.“

-High-quality athlete/mobility, hustler, takes charges, forces turnovers

-Shooting ranges stretch beyond the arc, hits from extended depths

-Finishes with both hands around the rim, innovate at the basket

-Gets to the rim in a hurry w/ a full head of steam, opportunistic on both ends

-Showed some acrobatic scores in the paint, noteworthy body control

-Attacks closeouts, showed counter moves to beat on-ball & secondary D

Comments: This Hi-Liner is an underrated athlete and a tireless worker. Finn gets after it defensively, makes hustle plays all over the court, and is quick to jump on a loose ball. On offense, Dockter is an opportunistic baller who score from multiple levels; he is also an unselfish creator.

-Noteworthy athleticism, took 2nd in Long Jump at State Track & Field

-Fierce competitor on both ends, made winning plays this spring for his SSA squad

-2nd Place in Long Jump

Comments: Has come a long way as an athlete, hard-working player, solid defense, active on offense, will need to be the dude for Hi-Liners next season

-Always impressed with his effort and hustle

-Plays his heart out, especially on defense & always takes a top dog

-Smooth lay-in score in transtion

-Fast, noteworthy athlete, moves very well

-Showed creativity with a hard baseline slash & reverse layup attempt, fouled

-Got to the line multiple times throughout the game

-Active & aggressive baller

-Smart player late to save a possession, threw the ball at a Huskie who was OOB

-Good handles/did nice job vs pressure

-Made alot of good decisions both in the half court and transition

-Has a clean looking shot/probably needs to shoot more

-Nice looking athlete/definitely looks and plays longer then 6’0

-Shifty ball handler/has great change of pace

-Is teams primary ball handler and does a nice job with getting them into what they wanna run offensively

-Had a steal then went coast to coast for contested lay in

-Moves well, I like his mobility

-More than capable from beyond the arc

-Hits 3’s from extended range

-Finishes from a variety of angles

-AND1 finishes are not a problem

-Impressive pull-up J’s in the paint

-Floater game is legit

-Finds the open man when slashing

-Not huge but a nice sized guard

-Effort level is noteworthy

-Multi-level threat on O

-Scored 7 points

-By watching him play you can see alot of potential with this kid

-Good ballhandler/nice low crossover

-Changes speeds very well and often, keeps defenders guessing and off balance

-Guarded all positions 1-3, when he 🔒 in on defense he can shut down about anyone

-Scrappy/anticipates very well

-Tough, was on floor for loose balls often

-Competes on the boards even though hes undersized

-Could score 12-15 on any given night
