Minnesota SPTS 15U Standouts

Duke Richardson - 6'2 - Guard - Minnetonka/Minnesota Select

http://youtube.com/watch?v=x72XgutcQBg

Richardson displayed a number of offensive talents versus the Minnesota Comets. He knocked down two 3s well behind the 3-point line and had multiple scores at the basket to accumulate at least 16 points without being a volume shooter. In transition and on drives Richardson showed good control of his body and movements to get space to finish strong inside. Richardson played well within the framework of his Minnesota Select team.

Hudson Omoke - 6'2 - Guard - Sauk Rapids/Minnesota Comets

https://youtu.be/5pP5OGeoe00

Omoke is an above average athlete and that combined with his six-foot-two-inch frame allows him a lot of success at the 15U level. Inside gathering rebounds over smaller guards and rebounding teammates or his own misses give him a distinctive advantage over competitors. Omoke also becomes a match-up problem with his quickness as taller defenders don't match-up well as they don't move as well as he does.

Cole Wilcek - 6'4 - Forward - Farmington/Minnesota Fury

https://youtu.be/fOvWux6M0vc

Wilcek operated at the high post for much of the game versus the Minnesota Comets finding space to make plays. Over the course of the game he managed five assists, four from the high post, mostly cutting teammates. He scored at least six points and managed a set jumper from the high post.

Cam Riggins - 6'4 - Wing - Eden Prairie/Minnesota Select

https://youtu.be/F2w2CpWxQg8

Riggins showed some fluid mobility in transition when he had a hop-step score versus the MN Comets in one game. With a solid frame at six-foot-four-inches inside Riggins didn't face too many issues inside when close to the basket. In a game versus Minnesota Matrix Riggins showcased more of a perimeter game hitting an outside shot and driving to the rim for a few scores.

[player_tooltip player_id='2854139' first='Ezekiel' last='Austin'] - 6'0 - Guard - Albany/Minnesota Comets

https://youtu.be/JhPjO1aBwPg

One word to describe [player_tooltip player_id='2854139' first='Ezekiel' last='Austin'] is productive. In a game versus Minnesota Select the six-foot guard from Albany scored 18 points and three assists. He scored twice on drive-bys, drove right by his defender and made two semi-open 3s.

[player_tooltip player_id='1357386' first='Nikolas' last='Domier'] - 6'3 - Guard - Farmington/Minnesota Fury

https://youtu.be/PPxfrJNLWTQ

Domier produced in multiple ways offensively for the Minnesota Fury leading them in scoring versus the Comets. He scored from outside a few times on passes, a transition live ball turnover, and a cut. The six-foot-three-inch guard didn't seem bothered by any of the pressure the defense put on him.

Luke Emmerich - 6'2 - Wing - Minnesota Comets/Monticello

https://youtu.be/poe6SFE1LS8

Lots of players get the generic word athletic thrown next to them when they make one athletic play. Luke Emmerich of Monticello doesn't just make an athletic play once a game. He does it the entire game. Emmerich's best showcase of ability is when he's in the open court where he finishes breakaways in style with dunks but also on the offensive glass. His quick twitch leaps allow him to rebound over opponents and get easy putbacks. Although not showcased much this weekend, Emmerich has good vision and makes passes that usually guards make.

Trey Singer - 5'11 - Guard - STMA/Minnesota Select

https://youtu.be/8uhUAV2nKFg

Singer was very methodical in how he worked the Minnesota Matrix defense while handling the Select offense. Running through reads to make the right passes, or attack when necessary. His pull-up 3-point jump shot was really smooth when he flicked his wrist on his follow-through. Versus Minnesota Matrix Singer scored 18 points and had five assists.

Jake Schultz - 5'11 - Guard - Delano/Minnesota Matrix

https://youtu.be/LCUXxqYAlHE

Schultz resembles are Delano guard, soon as he catches he's ready to attack by either launching a jump shot, going to rim, or passing the ball to keep things moving. Schultz worked a larger defender off the dribble instead of settling for a long jumper on one possession that enabled him to get a paint touch. The left side defender helped too far which gave Schultz an opening to make a chest pass for a 3-pointer by [player_tooltip player_id='1391203' first='Mitchell' last='Kauch']. For game versus Minnesota Select Schultz scored 23 points making five 3s.
