Prospects moving around is nothing new in South Florida. A number of very programs are reloading their rosters as we move into the fall season. There are some kids I don’t even realize have moved around until I see them in the gym. Therefore, please feel free to reach out to me with any updated announcements.

Here are some moves over the last month or so.

2026 Alex Constanza is now with Westminster Academy. The 6-foot-8 wing played his eight grade season at Mater Academy Charter. Constanza averaged 14.2 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game while shooting 49 percent from the field over in Hialeah. He will join a loaded Westminster Academy team that includes 2025 [player_tooltip player_id="1301705" first="Alexander" last="Lloyd"]. Constanza has been gearing up for the fall season with SOH Elite. He is regarded as one of the best players in his class in South Florida. Constanza earned offers from Creighton and IUPUI in June.

2023 [player_tooltip player_id="1463336" first="Max" last="Martinez"] transferred to Sagemont via Pembroke Pines Charter. The 6-foot-3 guard averaged just over six points across 23 games for the Jaguars. Martinez joins a talented Sagemont group that reached the 2A final last season.

Fort Lauderdale Stranahan is making waves with a new group of prospects. 2025 [player_tooltip player_id="1301706" first="Justin" last="Snell"] and 2023 Joshua Vedrine have moved over from Dillard. In addition, 2023 Claude "CJ" King is headed over from Pembroke Pines Charter. King is the younger brother of St. John’s signee Kolby King. The Mighty Dragons have achieved a ton of success in recent years, having won three state titles over the last four seasons.

One of the biggest prospects to move has been 2025 [player_tooltip player_id="1301718" first="Shon" last="Abaev"]. The 6-foot-6 sharpshooter will play for Fort Lauderdale Calvary Christian in the fall. Abaev was with Miami Country Day where he made 83 3-pointers as a freshman. His undeniable talent has earned him offers from SMU, Florida Gulf Coast and St. John’s. Abaev will join 2023 [player_tooltip player_id="709228" first="Carl" last="Cherenfant"] in hope of a 3-peat under Cilk McSweeney.

2023 [player_tooltip player_id="1164250" first="Derrick" last="Edouard"] transferred from North Miami to Pembroke Pines Charter. The 6-foot-3 shooting guard averaged 13.6 points and 3.2 rebounds per game with the Pioneers. Moreover, Edouard went 62-of-120 (52 percent) from deep. His added exposure along with his shooting ability and length should have colleges calling.
