Philly HS Live I: Six Saturday Games to Watch

Organized by John Mosco (Archbishop Wood Head Coach) and Andre Noble (Imhotep Charter Head Coach), Philly HS Live (Session I) will once again feature a field that is absolutely loaded with talented prospects. Below is a preview of a 6-pack of “must-see” games from Saturday’s Philly HS Live (Session I) schedule that feature prospects from southeastern Pennsylvania. St. Elizabeth (DE) vs. Radnor: In 2021-22 Radnor’s highly acclaimed Class of 2023 led them to the Central League and District 1-6A championship games as well as the 2nd Round of the state tournament. Now that group -- shooting guard [player_tooltip player_id="1119137" first="Jackson" last="Hicke"], stretch-4 [player_tooltip player_id="1212678" first="Charlie" last="Thornton"], point guard [player_tooltip player_id="1200819" first="Danny" last="Rosenblum"] and combo-guard [player_tooltip player_id="1200791" first="Cooper" last="Mueller"] -- is back and in pursuit of that next level. Also, for Radnor, keep an eye on athletic rising junior Elijah Sellers who has played well during summer league action. 10:00AM at Jefferson Univ. on Court 3. Executive Education ACS vs. Central York: The EEACS Raptors feature 6’10” rising senior [player_tooltip player_id="1472577" first="Moustapha" last="Sanoh"] who posted a monster spring for Team Final Red. Sanoh will get plenty of support from high level combo guard Rylan Muniz. Central York will counter with 2024 wing standout [player_tooltip player_id="1281777" first="Greg" last="Guidinger"] and 2025 combo guard [player_tooltip player_id="1287319" first="Ben" last="Natal"]. Guidinger can score at all three levels and recently picked up an offer from Drexel. 11:20AM at St. Joe’s Prep on Main Court. Rutgers Prep (NJ) vs. Archbishop Ryan: Ryan’s 2024 combo-guard [player_tooltip player_id="1192641" first="Darren" last="Williams"] played like a beast during the spring circuit. As a result, he picked up an offer from Drexel. If Williams plays at that same prominent level during Philly HS Live, more offers should come pouring in. Of course, big fellas [player_tooltip player_id="1213553" first="Thomas" last="Sorber"] will be dominating the paint at both ends for Ryan. Rising senior Michael "Zaire" Paris is a prospect flying under the radar on this Ryan squad. Paris can really fill it up. 2:50PM at Jefferson Univ. on Court 2. Carroll is led by guard prospect [player_tooltip player_id="991335" first="Dean" last="Coleman-Newsome"], who absolutely crushed the spring grassroots circuit. Fellow 2023s [player_tooltip player_id="1472583" first="Blake" last="Deegan"] and [player_tooltip player_id="1472584" first="Seamus" last="Rodgers"] are DI prospects as well. [player_tooltip player_id="1477738" first="Su-Meer" last="Alleyne"] is a 2024 to watch for Carroll and 2025 shooting guard [player_tooltip player_id="1136565" first="Jake" last="West"] is already a well-known commodity. 6:20PM at St. Joe’s Prep on Court 1. Camden (NJ) vs. Roman Catholic: With the gradation of superstars Daniel Skillings and Khalil Framer, a new era of hoops is about to begin at RC. Leading the way for the 6A state champions is smooth 2023 combo guard [player_tooltip player_id="991334" first="Xzayvier" last="Brown"]. He holds several DI offers and recently picked up one from USC. Taking the court with Brown will be 2025 interior prospect and returning starter [player_tooltip player_id="1188620" first="Shareef" last="Jackson"] as well as point guard [player_tooltip player_id="1477719" first="Toby" last="Ojukwu"]. Ojukwu played outstanding ball for Philly Pride 2024s on the spring circuit and just received an offer from U of Albany. This group faces a brutal test on Saturday when they take the court against DJ Wagner and nationally ranked Camden. 8:40PM at Jefferson Univ. on Court 2. Parkland vs. Central York: We previously mentioned the prospects to watch on Central York, so in this blurb we will focus on Parkland. For Parkland (2021-22 District 11 champions) it begins and ends with all-world shooting guard [player_tooltip player_id="1123885" first="Nick" last="Coval"]. He is a deceptively quick and athletic 2024 prospect who can score at all three levels. Coval proved his scoring prowess yet again when he recently dropped 31 points on Reading in a summer league game. He holds offers from Bucknell, Drexel, Penn and Robert Morris. 1:40PM at St. Joe’s Prep on Court 3.
