Continue ReadingThe 20th annual Pangos All-American Camp came to a close out in Las Vegas on Tuesday evening. The three day event is one of the premier high school basketball showcases in the country featuring around 120 of the very best prospects you will find. So far, we’ve dropped Day One, Day Two, and Day Three notes focusing on the five Indiana-based prospects that took part in the event. Now, we will expand the horizons to empty out the notebook on the top national performers from Las Vegas.
Amier Ali Amier Ali 6'8" | SF Canyon International Academy | 2024 State #38 Nation AZ (Montverde Academy 2024): Ali could, and probably should, move into 5-star status as different outlets update their national rankings. The 6’8″ wing from powerhouse Montverde Academy in Florida has guard like skill in terms of the way he handles the ball and can score it from all over the floor. He is super long and moves fluidly both on and off of the ball. Shows flashes of being an elite shooter. One of the best long term prospects I saw over the course of the three day event. Ali has emerged as a top 2024 priority for Kentucky and announced an upcoming unofficial visit to Texas.
Xavier Booker Xavier Booker 6'11" | PF Cathedral | 2023 State #4 Nation IN (Cathedral H.S. 2023): The Pangos All-American Camp Most Valuable Player solidified himself as one of the top prospects in the country. Booker, a 6’11″ left-hander with good three-point shooting ability, averaged 17.5 points per game during the event showcasing his offensive skill level. His recruitment continues to take off with Duke recently extending a scholarship offer and vying for an official visit from the Cathedral big man. High level talent.
Elliot Cadeau Elliot Cadeau 6'2" | PG Bergen Catholic | 2024 MO (Bergen Catholic 2024): A 5-star, Top 10 national prospect out of Bergen Catholic in New Jersey, Cadeau really caught the attention of everyone in attendance at the Pangos All-American Camp. He is an explosive athlete with excellent finishing ability at the rim and has good playmaking skills for those around him. Very impressive three days for Cadeau who averaged over 18 points per game for the event.
Pharaoh Compton Pharaoh Compton 6'7" | PF Arbor View | 2024 State #74 Nation NV (Compass Prep 2024): It would be easy to call Compton an undersized 4-man, but with his strength, physicality, and athleticism make up for the inch or two he may lack at the position. Every time you turned around Compton was slamming a two-handed dunk through the rim with authority. He’s a great rebounder, can drive it hard in a straight line to the rim, and finishes everything around the basket. You’ll seen be seeing his name shoot up the national rankings.
Baye Fall Baye Fall 6'11" | C Luthern Christian | 2023 State #13 Nation CO (Denver Prep Academy 2023): No prospect impressed me as much at the Pangos All-American Camp as the 6’10″ Fall. The 5-star center was named Cream of the Crop Top 30 Co-MVP with a 26-point, 10-rebound double-double to cap off his strong three days in Las Vegas. His ability as a high level rim protector are pretty obvious with his size, length, and mobility. However, it was the flashes of improved offensive skill that were most intriguing. He was dominant on the rim run, showed good hands, and was finishing strong through contact in the paint. Absolutely a can’t miss two-way prospect that is among the very best in the country. Official visits to Auburn and Texas coming up.
AJ Johnson AJ Johnson 6'5" | PG Taft | 2023 #26 Nation CA-S (Taft H.S. 2023): There might not have been anybody who did more for their stock than Johnson. A super quick point guard with length and size at 6’4″-6’5″, Johnson scored it at a really high level throughout the three day event. Johnson averaged 16.3 points per game on incredible 74.2%/42.9% shooting splits from the field. His strong play in Las Vegas earned a USC offer for the Southern California native who attends Taft High School. His offensive skill level should attract more high-majors in the coming live recruiting periods.
jackson James jackson James 5'11" | CG Waconia | 2024 MD (West Nottingham Academy 2024): This is the best prospect in the country that you likely haven’t heard of until now. Get used to hearing Missi’s name moving forward. The 6’10″ physical post presence dominated the interior on both ends of the floor and proved to be one of the elite rebounders in the country. Missi is a great finisher at the rim and plays with a high motor. Everything you would want in a big man and is still coming into his own skill wise. One of the very best 2024 prospects in the country that should be a 5-star, Top 10 type of guy.
Isaiah Miranda Isaiah Miranda 7'1" | C Southern California Academy | 2023 #38 Nation CA-S (Commonwealth Academy 2023): You don’t see a lot of 7’0″ prospects that have the offensive skill set of Miranda. Hailing from Commonwealth Academy in Springfield, Massachusetts, Miranda has an impressive ability to stretch the floor out beyond the arc at his size. He even flashes some straight line driving ability against closeouts. Defensively he can protect the rim while also switching onto guards. Had a five three-pointer, 27-point performance in one game in Vegas. Can’t miss prospect.
