2022 OK State: Sunday Bracket Play Standouts

<p>A group of five prospects that finished the OK State tournament strongly for their teams in impressive victories. </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Muizz Qazi, 6’3 Guard, Hard Hoops</p> <p>After catching the eye in a Saturday afternoon victory, Qazi was even more impressive to close out the tournament on Sunday. He’s a stronger guard, who loves to get downhill and rely on his strength to finish at the rim. On Saturday, he experienced success with his bully ball method but also had moments of inefficiency. This was most apparent in transition when at times he tried to spilt the double or drive into traffic instead of making the right read to open teammates. His Sunday play more efficient, as he used his impressive combination of strength, body control and quickness when finishing at the rim to score. He mixed in a couple three pointers and finished with 23 points. </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Santana Arroyo, 6’4 Wing, Jayhawks Elite </p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Arroyo is an example of how playing to a player’s strengths with a great motor will lead to success. There’s time he looks like an undersized post when vacuuming up the boards and finishing around the rim. He plays that role on his team, but still finds enough time and success to show that he can put it on the floor, make some good passes and has good versatility to his game. Arroyo’s good blend of skills and effort led to 16 points in a victory to close out the tournament on Sunday afternoon </span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Kobe Harrison, 6’1 Guard, Built Different by Proskills</p> <p>A big time athlete, Harrison plays much bigger than his size as he spent much of the Sunday game playing above the rim. His athletic ability is especially apparent in transition with the dunks and chase down blocks he racks up. The unsigned senior finished with 16 points and a notable mark left on the game thanks to his explosive and physical play. </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="618877" first="Isaiah" last="Poindexter"], 6’0 Guard, 5280 Athletics</p> <p>In a victory to close out the tournament for the Colorado squad, unsigned senior [player_tooltip player_id="618877" first="Isaiah" last="Poindexter"] had an explosive second half. He scored 18 of his 20 points in the second frame. He closed out the game explosively with big scores off drives and pull ups to extend the lead. Then fully exploded with a windmill in transition to put an exclamation point on his squad’s victory. </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1295863" first="Will" last="Bronson"], 6’8 Forward, Hard Hoops</p> <p>Size can’t be taught and because of that Bronson has an interesting building point. He has patient and understanding when posting up on the block, but still needs to continue to refine his finishing touch. He makes himself known as a rebounder and did a good job battling with quicker and more athletic players on Sunday. He finished with 8 points in that game, but his size made his impact go beyond the score sheet. </p>
