And yes, there’s still enough room to give credit to the guards that performed well.
Here are the 5 best performances from Sunday.
Aidan Little, Alabama Generals 2025: Little is about 6-foot-4 1/2, but plays bigger. He had his way on the glass in his team’s 71-66 win over Next Page Force 2025. Little showcased his ability to grab offensive rebounds before going back up strong for the easy score. He was just as active on defensive side, positioning himself each time the basketball clanked off the rim. Little, who had 20 points in the win, also displayed the ability to knock down shots from 3-point range. He was big when his teammates needed him to.
Zion Weeks, C&S Hoopstars 2025: Weeks is a 6-0 athletic guard with upside. He can push the basketball in transition. Weeks loves to get out in the open court, because he realizes there’s a high chance he will be able to blow past everyone on the floor. Weeks’ shot is decent enough to keep the defense at his mercy. I’m not sure if he realizes this or not, but Weeks has the makeup of being a high school prospect college programs would want to check out. He had 24 points in a win over the Mississippi Hustlers 2025.
Cole Beinborn, Team Iowa 2025: Beinborn was one of the most skilled wings over the weekend. He’s roughly 6-4 with a high basketball IQ. Beinborn is very patient on offense. He’s never in a rush to take shots. Beinborn would rather take what the defense gives him. Against Next Page Force 2025, the freshman knocked down shots from the perimeter and made solid passes to wide open teammates. Beinborn, who had 19 points, can create off the dribble. Here’s another high school prospect that will eventually get attention from college programs.
Oleg Sadowski, Next Page Force 2025: Sadowski is a 5-10 guard with a slim frame that comes with a lot of offensive firepower. He had 20 points in a loss to the Alabama Generals 2025. Sadowski was his team’s best offensive weapon for the entire game. He’s skilled enough to score from different areas on the court. Sadowski can make shots from the perimeter and make his way into the lane. He has the potential to be a notable prospect in his class.
D’Ron McZeal, G4WYW 2025: McZeal made his presence felt in his team’s win over Life Changers 2025. The small point guard controlled the pace of the game. As soon as he received the basketball off a defensive rebound, McZeal looked up the court. He did what a floor general is supposed to do at all times. McZeal is crafty enough to get inside the paint. He’s a good enough to be dependable shot maker. McZeal is a baller on the court. He carries it well.
