had the hot hand on Saturday and showed no hesitation going up against one of the top teams in the state. Osborne hung around for most of the game, largely because of McPherson, but ultimately fell short 67-57. While he’s typically known as a bruiser that will beat you up inside and score around the paint, McPherson put together a shooting display from all over the floor on Saturday. He finished with 21 points including 3 three-pointers and hit several tough, mid-range jumpers as well. This single performance could go a long way in rising McPherson’s stock at a crucial point in his high school career.

McPherson is a solid, inside-out forward who saw his stock rise towards the end of the summer with Wood Elite. Can attack off the dribble from the wing or high post. Physical rebounder, not afraid to throw his body around inside. Has a knack for blocking shots as well. Voorhees offered him back in June.

Up from No. 84: McPherson has the strength to bang inside and score in the post but also has a consistent outside shot from the mid-range and out to the three-point line. He can cause mismatches as a tweener with a high-motor.

McPherson has great offensive versatility. He’s a powerhouse in the paint, exploding for rebounds and finishing through contact. Keshawn usually scores around the rim first before he starts to expand his attack. He’s an efficient three-point shooter that will score in bundles. McPherson is a well-rounded offensive threat who will record multiple double-doubles.

ended the summer on a high note with some really impressive outings during the July live periods. I’ve seen few players show as much improvement from last high school season to now as McPherson has so it’ll be interesting to see him take the next step this year at Osborne. He looked like his usual self on Sunday, bullying smaller defenders around the basket and grinding for rebounds. McPherson’s combination of physicality and versatility make him a very intriguing college prospect in my opinion.

He is also a skilled perimeter player with consistent three-point range. His physicality allows him to defend multiple positions and play bigger than his size.
