Blanton is one of the most intriguing players this season. He’s a super talented player that’s committed to Cedarville University. He’s also taking on a much bigger load this season. Blanton is a skilled guard that can score in a 1-on-1 matchup. He was at his best in this form when there was an overload on the opposite end and he had room to maneuver. Blanton really stepped his game up late and into the overtime sessions. He hit a huge bank triple that ultimately sent the game to a second overtime. Blanton showed that he could score from all 3 levels with a slick take on the left side of the rim early and a mid range pull up from the wing.

There are a lot of minutes and shots opening up in Chelsea this season and Blanton has the ability to fill some of that space. He’s a highly skilled guard that could see a big rise in numbers and his dangerous jumper should be a big part of that.

has always been a very talented player. This year is his time to shine. Chelsea was a Final 4 team last year, but they lost 2 high level guards. There’s a lot of ball time and shots opening up and Blanton will step right in nicely.

Blanton has been, and will be again, a part of a loaded Chelsea backcourt. Ever see him look frustrated or impatient to get his shots? Never. Not even close. Blanton’s going to be a great program addition at the next level.

I was really impressed by The Process from Michigan’s squad with the amount of size, skill and patience they showed. Blanton optimized the patience and ball security of this team. As the point guard, he set the table for the taller forwards and made shots from the outside off the catch and dribble. With the game in crunch time, Blanton hit a fallaway floater and lefty finish at the rim to give his team some room to breathe against a pesky Mac Basketball 16 U squad. Overall, I was really impressed by Blanton and his team as a whole.
