Spring Kickoff: Stock Boosters 17U

<p>This past weekend at the Prep Hoops Spring Kickoff we got to see many players prove themselves against some of the toughest competition in Colorado. Here are our choices for players who boosted their stock over the weekend.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1285202" first="Quin" last="Galka"]- Mile High Magic</strong></p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1285202" first="Quin" last="Galka"] is a lengthy wing who plays with a lot of intensity. Quin has great height for a wing standing at 6’5 and has active hands defensive end. From three-point range, he has a sweet stroke and is someone you cannot leave open. Quin also uses his size to take advantage of smaller defenders down low.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1432263" first="Matias" last="Aldana"]- Colorado Anarchy</strong></p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1432263" first="Matias" last="Aldana"] showed off his ability to be a stretch power forward at the Spring Kickoff. Matias has good height standing at 6’5 and a broad frame which he uses to move opposing players. From three-point range, Matias has a consistent shot with a quick trigger. Defensively he showed off the ability to be a good rim protector and rebounder. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1285224" first="Ethan" last="Levin"]- Colorado Miners</strong></p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1285224" first="Ethan" last="Levin"] is a small shooting guard who knows how to play his role. Off of the ball, Ethan has a knack for getting open, whether that’s finding gaps on the three-point line or quickly b-lining it to the rim. From beyond the three-point arc, he has a knockdown jumper. Ethan and his teammates were able to show off great chemistry as his teammates often thread the needle to find Ethan on sneaky cuts.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1427089" first="Grayden" last="Harkness"]- B&amp;B Academy</strong></p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1427089" first="Grayden" last="Harkness"] is a kid who is just a solid basketball player. He can do a bit of everything on the floor which makes him unpredictable and hard to guard. Grayden has good height for a wing standing at 6’3 and a great sense for the game. For a wing, he is a very skilled passer who uses his eyes to mislead defenders on no-look passes. Grayden is also a solid three-level scorer who showed off a variety of jumpers, floaters, and layups over the weekend.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="969435" first="Nathaniel" last="Owen"]- Colorado Premier</strong></p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="969435" first="Nathaniel" last="Owen"] is a lengthy athletic wing who was impressive on both ends of the floor. Nate flies around the court whether that is to finish at the rim or to block shots at the rim. He uses his great height (6’5) and athleticism to block a ton of shots for a wing. He was also able to step out and hit three-point shots for his team.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1285205" first="Master" last="Diggins"]- Hard2Guard</strong></p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1285205" first="Master" last="Diggins"] is a crafty, lengthy wing who can score from all three levels. Standing at 6’4, he has a smooth handle on the ball and is able to use quick crossovers to get defenders out of position. Near the basket, he is a crafty finisher who uses a variety of euro-steps and floaters. Master has a soft touch and had multiple and-1 finishes on the weekend.</p>
