Traylor took home back-to-back state championships with North Mecklenburg and takes home three state titles as he heads off to the College of Charleston. He checks in at the No. 9 position in the Top 10 of the final rankings update for the 2025 class following 22-point and 15-point performances for the Vikings in the State Championship and Region Finals, respectively. He also dished out nine assists and showed off his efficiency in getting to the free throw line and knocking down shots getting to the paint.

Back-to-back state championships and District 9 Player of the Year aren’t bad additions to the trophy cabinet for Chadlyn Traylor Chadlyn Traylor 6'3" | PG North Mecklenburg | 2025 State #384 Nation NC out of North Mecklenburg. He’s a shifty lead guard who’s difficult to stop when he’s getting downhill and knocking down shots on the perimeter.He ended his high school career on a high note, winning the NCHSAA 4A State Championship with 22 points, four rebounds and four assists in the Finals. He’s set to make waves at the next level with the College of Charleston in the CAA.

Traylor was getting all that he wanted on the offensive end. His jumpshot is cash whether open or facing the closeout. Confidence remains the same no matter the situation, which makes for a quite lethal scorer. Traylor was hitting pull-ups right over top of the defense in the midrange all 2nd half, and saw a lot more threes go down as the game progressed as well. There was nothing Traylor wasn’t capable of pulling off in efforts to score. He’ll get after it defensively as well, had a few very good stops by moving his feet and causing the ball handler to fumble. Traylor came to the DMV and showcased every bit of why he’s high in the 2025 ranks.

Traylor looks like he’s next up to lead North Mecklenburg High as he comes off a strong spring/summer with Top Shot Basketball . He’s drawn the interest and eyes of D1 programs heading into his senior year as a two-way lead guard who can defend the best player while acting as the primary option. He’s got some talent around him to work with heading into 2024-25.
