Top Prospects in Semi-State: Class 1A & 2A

<p>We are down to the final four teams in each of Indiana’s respective four classes. Before we begin to dive into class by class previews on Thursday, let’s take a look at some of the top individual prospects that are still alive in the 112th annual IHSAA Boy’s Basketball State Tournament. </p> <h2>Class 1A</h2> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="868220" first="Ashton" last="Williamson"] (Gary 21st Century 2023): Dynamic point guard with low/mid-major interest. Averaging 19.1 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 11.4 assists per game.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1042493" first="D.J." last="Moss"] (Gary 21st Century 2023): Athletic 6’5" wing with very high upside. Averages for 14.8 points and 8.2 rebounds per game for the Cougars.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1160677" first="Quintin" last="Floyd"] (Gary 21st Century 2023): Another athletic wing for 21st Century, Floyd averages 15.5 points and 10.8 rebounds per game.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="870267" first="Clark" last="Barrett"] (Lafayette Central Catholic 2022): Barrett is a very good 6’4" senior wing that puts up 14.5 points and 10 rebounds per game for the Knights.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="870287" first="Wyatt" last="Day"] (Jac-Cen-Del H.S. 2022): If Jac-Cen-Del has any chance to knock off North Daviess it will because of Day. He averages 20.5 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="935727" first="Jaylen" last="Mullen"] (North Daviess H.S. 2023): Mullen is a smooth guard that can play on or off the ball. He has led the Cougars all season long as a state title contender and will look to lead them to Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Saturday. Averages 16.4 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per game.</p> <h2>Class 2A</h2> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="769682" first="Connor" last="Essegian"] (Central Noble H.S. 2022): Wisconsin signee is putting up 26.8 points per game and will be a legitimate Mr. Basketball candidate when votes are due following the state finals.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1269905" first="Ryan" last="Schroeder"] (Central Noble H.S. 2022): Trine University commit that provides some shooting alongside the high-scoring Essegian.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1158220" first="Jackson" last="Andrews"] (Central Noble H.S. 2024): Talented sophomore guard that is getting valuable experience before taking over the reigns for the next two seasons.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="870256" first="Logan" last="Gard"] (Central Noble H.S. 2022): Another Trine University commit. Gard is a 6'6" forward that serves as the Cougars interior presence. </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1391325" first="Owen" last="Duff"] (Carroll Flora H.S. 2023): One of a pair of super talented junior wings that have led Carroll (Flora) to an outstanding season. </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1391465" first="Jake" last="Skinner"] (Carroll Flora H.S. 2023): Skinner is a very good athlete that has been a big catalyst for the Cougars run to Semi-State.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1269995" first="Landon" last="O’Neal"] (Eastern Hancock H.S. 2023): O'Neal is the Royals leading scorer at 16.5 points per game leading a dynamic trio of backcourt running mates.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1393268" first="Jacob" last="Spaulding"] (Eastern Hancock H.S. 2023): Averages 13.9 points per game to go along with 3.3 assists alongside his twin brother.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1393269" first="Silas" last="Spaulding"] (Eastern Hancock H.S. 2023): Averages 10.8 points per game and a team-leading 3.4 assists for the 22-5 Royals.</p>
