The likes of [player_tooltip player_id="577847" first="Nikolas" last="Graves"] (Charlotte), [player_tooltip player_id="1280298" first="Willie" last="Lightfoot Jr"]. (Bowling Green) and [player_tooltip player_id="848091" first="Quante" last="Berry"] (Providence) are off the board, but there’s still a ton of talented point guard prospects available in the class of 2022. Take a look at Part I of the unsigned Point Guard prospects in the rankings.

No. 2 [player_tooltip player_id="533518" first="Elijah" last="Jamison"] | 6’3 | Liberty Heights

Jamison is a point guard that can score and distribute, depending on the situation, making him quite the floor general. He has the ability to control the pace with his ability to get to the paint and make things happen and can knock down shots when needed. As he finishes out the season, he’ll be a top name to keep an eye on in the 2022 class with a decision on the horizon.

No. 16 [player_tooltip player_id="1163516" first="Juanse" last="Gorosito"] | 6’2 | Denver Prep (CO)

Gorosito is a former import that’s over at Denver Prep in Colorado and is set to make a decision on a school on March 2. He’s a floor general prospect with a high IQ for making plays off the bounce with his crisp handle and passing ability. He can knock down shots on all three levels as well and has the ability to take over games at will. He’s got a bright future ahead of him at the next level.

No. 27 [player_tooltip player_id="725186" first="Evan" last="Smith"] | 6’4 | Ardrey Kell

Smith is an unsigned point guard with a nice feel for controlling the pace of the game for the Ardrey Kell High Knights. He’s produced 15.3 ppg, 5.8 rpg, 3.8 apg and 1.3 spg as they approach conference tournament play this week. He’s improved his shooting from the 3-point arc as he’s shooting 41 percent in 2021-22 after shooting 17 percent in 2020-21, while maintaining his ability to still attack the paint (51 percent shooting from the field). Schools at the D1 and D2 levels should take a look at what he can do. He holds offers from Catawba, Belmont Abbey and The Citadel already.

No. 33 [player_tooltip player_id="574443" first="Camian" last="Shell"] | 5’10 | Winston-Salem Christian

Shell is another unsigned point guard prospect with a ton of promise in the 2022 ranks in the state. He’s a quick, sharp floor general that gets to his spots in the paint and can knock down shots when needed. Don’t let his size deter you, he plays big and has room to put on size with a strength-and-conditioning coach at the next level. He’s a prospect that LM D1s and HM D2s could benefit from taking an eye on.

No. 34 [player_tooltip player_id="848062" first="Jaquantae" last="Harris"] | 6’1 | Northwood Temple

Harris has been the leading name to know in the Northwood Temple backcourt as he’s shown with his production. He’s put up 19.4 ppg, 6.6 rpg, 4.1 apg and 2.9 spg to lead the Eagles to a 24-8 record and 11-1 record in conference play. He’s shooting 54 percent from the field and 45 percent from behind the arc while showing his all-around growth as a shooter in 2021-22. He’ll look to make a splash in this year’s NCISAA 2A State Playoffs as a No. 3 seed in the East field this week.

No. 38 [player_tooltip player_id="932138" first="Logan" last="Threatt"] | 6’3 | Carmel Christian

Threatt has shown he can make a smooth transition to the point guard spot for Carmel Christian as they completed a 23-3 regular season. He’s put up 11.3 ppg, 4.2 rpg, 3.5 apg and 1.5 spg as their leader in the backcourt, making quite the 1-2 punch with [player_tooltip player_id="1008879" first="Cade" last="Tyson"] (Belmont). He holds offers from Hampton, USC Upstate and UNC-Wilmington with more surely to come as Carmel Christian makes their run in the NCISAA 4A State Playoffs. They hold a double-bye and won’t play until the quarterfinals.

No. 42 [player_tooltip player_id="577860" first="Zaharee" last="Maddox"] | 6’0 | Davie County

Maddox is a high-level scoring floor general that uses his speed and ball-handling ability. He’s deceptively quick with the ball in his hands and keeps defenders guessing with his high-level court vision. He’s an impressive and underrecruited point guard prospect with a ton of promise in the 2022 class in the state.
