1- Orangeburg-Wilkinson HS (22-3)
The Bruins lost one earlier this week to Fox Creek HS. The Bruins will play a winner takes all mentality for the region championship game tonight vs Brookland Cayce HS. Jordan Simpson Jordan Simpson 6'5" | CG Orangeburg-Wilkinson | 2022 State SC has had a great senior year averaging 19.3 ppg and 5.6 rebounds. Horaces Jacques Horaces Jacques 6'2" | PG Orangeburg-Wilkinson | 2023 State SC compliments Simpson very nicely averaging 9.9 ppg.
2- Seneca HS (20-2)
The Bobcats made a run to the Class 3A State Championship last season. The Bobcats have been led all season long by EJ Evett EJ Evett 6'2" | CG Seneca | 2022 State SC 18.4 ppg, 8.2 rebounds and 2.7 assists. Seneca HS has won 13 games in a row.
3- Blue Ridge HS (21-3)
The Fighting Tigers have been playing good ball behind the play of USC Upstate signee Justin Bailey Justin Bailey 6'1" | PG Blue Ridge | 2022 State SC . Bailey is currently 27.2 ppg, 12.7 rebounds, 5 assists and 3.7 steals this season. Justin currently has scored 1,669 career points.
4- Crestwood HS (Dalzell) (18-2)
Who are these Knights that Head Coach Aric Samuel has? The Knights have lost two times to Class 5A Sumter HS. Crestwood HS has won 12 games in a row currently. Khalil Peoples Khalil Peoples 6'1" | SG Crestwood | 2022 State SC , Joseph Durant Joseph Durant 5'10" | PG Crestwood | 2022 State SC , Justin Rembert Justin Rembert 5'10" | PG Crestwood | 2023 State SC and Corean Nelson Corean Nelson 6'0" | CG Crestwood | 2023 State SC look to be leading the fast-paced offense
5- Brookland-Cayce HS (19-5)
The Bearcats have a winner take all tonight for the region at Orangeburg-Wilkinson HS. The Bearcats will rely on a trio of seniors in Christian Ferguson Christian Ferguson 6'5" | SF Brookland Cayce | 2022 State SC , Jahmari Kennerly Jahmari Kennerly 6'0" | PG Brookland-Cayce | 2022 State SC and Christian Hall Christian Hall 6'0" | CG Brookland Cayce | 2022 State SC to bring home the region championship.
6- Oceanside Collegiate (Mount Pleasant) (16-6)
The Landsharks have been staying under the radar for most of the season. This team has some good weapons in Malachi Stevens Malachi Stevens 6'4" | SF Oceanside Collegiate | 2023 State SC 15.3 ppg, Makhi Rivers Makhi Rivers 5'10" | PG Oceanside Collegiate | 2023 State SC 10.9 and Miles Stickney Miles Stickney 6'5" | PF Oceanside Collegiate | 2022 State SC 7.8 ppg.
7- Union County HS (20-4)
Who would have thought that the Yellow Jackets would be (20-4) right now? Head Coach Mitchell Moss has his kids playing good basketball right now. Naqaua Kershaw Naqaua Kershaw 6'7" | SF Union County | 2022 State SC an unsigned senior is averaging 13.2 ppg and 10.3 rebounds this season.
8-Lakewood HS (Sumter) (14-7)
This Gators team could be a tough matchup for anyone in the playoffs with Head Coach Ed Scott. Kameron Rodriguez Kameron Rodriguez 6'0" | CG Lakewood | 2022 State SC is having a solid season for the Gators this year. Lakewood HS is currently 1 game behind Crestwood HS in the region.
9- Keenan HS (15-10)
The Raiders have strung together 6 wins in a row. The Raiders have played a very competitive schedule this season.
