<p>The Falcons made the drive down to the Grand Strad this week to take on the Seahawks. This game wasn’t pretty at all from beginning to end as both teams really struggled to score the ball today. Darlington HS prevailed on the road with the win over the Seahawks 48-35. </p>
<p><em><strong>Too Much Lewis</strong></em></p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="930627" first="Qua’liek" last="Lewis"]</strong> was just too much for the Seahawks tonight. Lewis a small undersized scoring guard finished the night with 21 points for the Falcons. He was able to able to create his own mid-range game along with sticking a few three pointers along the way. Lewis is geared to score the ball and he looked to do that every time he touched it. </p>
<p><strong><em>Just No Offense</em> </strong></p>

<p>The Myrtle Beach HS Seahawks struggled all night with offense. Freshman <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1183948" first="John" last="Simmons"]</strong> came out strong in the second half by scoring 4 straight baskets not bad since the Seahawks only had 8 points at the halftime break. Simmons a standout football this past season as a wide receiver finished the night with 8 points. </p>

<p>Senior <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="837360" first="Jeremy" last="Jones"]</strong> a left-handed wing player finished with 10 points while fellow classmate <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1109478" first="Xavier" last="Martin"]</strong> added 5 points. The Seahawks have been Jeckyl and Hyde all season long with their play. You just never know what team you will see this season. </p>
<p><em><strong>Making Shots Down the Stretch </strong></em></p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="986186" first="Keenan" last="Dubose"]</strong> was able to secure some late baskets tonight to finish with 9 points in the Falcons win. Dubose who has been playing since his 8th grade year at Darlington HS nailed some three pointers and a mid-range jumper late to secure the victory. </p>
<p><em><strong>Making the Move </strong></em></p>
<p>Brad Knox took over the Darlington HS basketball program this past season after being the girl's program coach. Knox a former Darlington HS player is assisted on staff by his father Laverne Knox longer head coach at Lee Central HS. </p>
