Expert Analysis
Victor Taylor | Prep Hoops Scout
Harris is back playing with NC Spartans and showed why it was a great decision, as he put opposing defenders in a torture chamber figuring out how they could stop him. He’s incredibly strong and quick for his size, and profiles more like a wing or a smooth forward rather than someone that wants to go back to the basket the whole time. He’s a fearless runner in transition and goes to the hole with strength and power every time, daring you to get in the way and foul him. Defensively he’s got verticality to be a good weak side shot blocker, and long arms to be a good rebounder. He hit a turnaround 15 footer to win his team the game today, and that kind of composure and smoothness with the game on the line, along with his physical tools, makes me think he’s got real potential at the next level.

is an underrated name out of East Rowan High worth some attention by DII and DIII schools in the region. He’s quietly climbed up the ranks in the 2023 class as a versatile 6-foot-6 forward that can operate inside and out with or without the ball in his hands. He finished his senior season posting 21.0 ppg, 11.3 rpg, and 1.1 bpg while shooting 54 percent from the field and 43 percent from 3-point range.

Harris is an undersized post player that deserves a lot more attention despite his team’s record. He carries his squad on his back every night and scores effectively inside and out. He’s got more of a perimeter game than most bigs, and he uses it to his advantage when he can stretch the floor against opposing bigs, as he shoots 50% on a couple of attempts per game from three. He’s also a devastating offensive rebounder, and fights hard on the glass despite not having the conventional size of a 4 or 5. Keep looking for him to make noise with strong performances, no matter whether his team is winning or losing.
