Jordan Vick Jordan Vick 5’11” | PG Word of God | 2025 State NC is a dynamic guard who electrifies the gym when he’s on. He’s a good scorer in and around the paint, but loves to take jumpers from the mid-range and behind the arc as well. His ability to get to the free throw line has also helped him add to that 25.8 PPG tally, as he’s shooting 81% on 10 attempts per game. He’s also had explosive performances that showcase this ability, including a 45 point game in a win over South Granville. Ball handling is also a strength for him; he keeps it on a string and is shifty with his dribble moves. As long as he can get his teammates more involved and either play as a lead guard or a undersized combo guard, he will be a big time player at the Division 1 level.
Harris is an undersized post player that deserves a lot more attention despite his team’s record. He carries his squad on his back every night and scores effectively inside and out. He’s got more of a perimeter game than most bigs, and he uses it to his advantage when he can stretch the floor against opposing bigs, as he shoots 50% on a couple of attempts per game from three. He’s also a devastating offensive rebounder, and fights hard on the glass despite not having the conventional size of a 4 or 5. Keep looking for him to make noise with strong performances, no matter whether his team is winning or losing.
There’s not much else to say about one of the state’s most talked about guys this year, but it is definitely worth mentioning his accomplishments and skillset for those who may not have the full profile on Drake Powell Drake Powell 6’6″ | CG Northwood | 2024 State #8 Nation NC . He’s very long, athletic, and profiles as an elite defender at the next level with these tools as well as a nose for the ball. However, this year we’ve seen his isolation and offensive game as a whole grow a whole lot. He does a lot of damage inside the arc, but his perimeter jumper is improving as well. He’s always been able to use his athleticism to slash to the rim and score the ball, but we’ve even seen that improve as well. All of this, combined with his good intangible attributes, makes his commitment to UNC and his ranking as a nationally regarded prospect very unsurprising.

Jaiden Thompson Jaiden Thompson 6’1″ | PG Central Cabarrus | 2023 State NC is regarded by so many that know him and have watched him play as a culture changer and a born winner. It is true that all his teams perform very well, but he can also play great basketball too. He’s a big time finisher around the rim and hits pull up jumpers with ease as well. He’s shifty with the ball, and this causes him to get easier looks either for himself or his teammates, who benefit from having such a dynamic scorer on the floor. However, his ability to lift his teammates up when they are struggling, and be “the man” of his team is what impresses me the most. College programs are getting a guy who can build culture and turn a locker room into a winning one both on and off the court.

Jacob Tiller
Jacob Tiller
Tiller is one of the leading scorers in the class, and he’s so explosive with his performance. He’s had games of 44, 39, 38, and 37 last year en route to averaging 25.9 points per game. He’s super athletic and long for his height, which allows for some big time plays above the rim. Getting downhill is his speciality, especially when he runs out in transition. He’s a real threat when he can run up and down, as his motor never stops running. He’s picked up some D1 offers from D3 schools, and I think he would be a coup for some of those places. An athlete like him, who can score the basketball will be a big time player soon for them.
