MONDAY: Lafayette Central Catholic vs. Andrean – 7:00 PM
A light schedule on Monday doesn’t mean there aren’t great games. This LCC / Andrean matchup will be great. Central Catholic has been playing as well as anyone since the winter break and Andrean has been the surprise team up north this year. They have a ton of quality wins and no bad losses. Little bit of contrasting styles but regardless, will be a fun game on Monday.
TUESDAY: Indianapolis Pike vs. Hamilton Southeastern – 7:30 PM
Hamilton Southeastern is in it’s best position since 2013-14 to take home a Sectional title and they just got done knocking off Carmel, their biggest competition in the Sectional. Pike on the other hand, has been a lot better than most thought and now sit in a position to win another Sectional as well. They need to win games like this down the stretch though if that is going to be a reality.
WEDNESDAY: Indianapolis Howe vs. Indianapolis Arlington – 7:30 PM
Another light schedule on Wednesday gives us a great matchup of one of the best teams in 1A vs. one of the best teams in 2A. Howe has had a very tough schedule this year but lack high-end wins. The one thing they do have is quality wins and Arlington would fall in that category. Arlington has been up-and-down this season and they need to finish off strong because they could really do damage in the tournament if they are playing their best ball.
THURSDAY: Heritage vs. New Haven – 7:45 PM
Heritage is having an up-and-down year as well but they are on a 4-game winning streak and are looking at the end of the season. If they could win out they could have their highest winning total in the last 8 years. The big game standing in their way is New Haven. If they can get past them, they have a fighting chance.
FRIDAY: Warren Central vs. Carmel – 7:30 PM
This matchup on Friday night will pit two of the best defensive teams in the state this season against each other. It wouldn’t shock anyone if this ended up in the 40’s. However, this is also a pairing of two of the best teams in the state as well and Carmel is trying to recover from a defeat to HSE last week. They could use this win a bit more right now but beating Warren has proved to be difficult for every team on their schedule.
SATURDAY: Brownstown Central vs. Providence – 7:30 PM
This is 19-0 vs. 16-2 as we write this on Monday, however, Brownstown Central has one of the toughest weeks of the year, playing three games this week with Providence being the last on the list. Providence has some really solid wins but no marquee wins. Brownstown Central would be that team. Should be a close battle but a good one as we look into the final week of the season.
