Got a chance to look at the video from Max Wagner as Minneapolis North knocked off DeLaSalle. Here are some things that stood out to me prospect wise from that video!

The 1:52 mark of the video.... a very nice tribute to Jim Robinson. I got to spend a lot of time with Jim over the years because of the Mr. Basketball committee and because I sat with him at so many games. As the years moved on Jim was always so kind asking about my family and asking how my life was. He always showed interest in me when he didn't have to and that started many years ago when I was in my 20s. When I started writing for Rivals.com at GI and Minnesota Preps I was a young punk. I wore small white t-shirts all over with the hat backwards and talking big. Instead of looking at me like I was a punk Jim would smile, tell me to turn my hat around, and ask how my wife was doing. There was no reason for him to show interest in me and to be kind to me, but he always was. I will never forget that. RIP Jim.

2:03 mark of the video.... [player_tooltip player_id="958777" first="Kyle" last="Johnson"]. One of the state's most improved players - both in skill, productivity and growing physically - is Johnson. Great pass from [player_tooltip player_id="958672" first="Amir" last="Everett"] into a great looking jumper with feet set and knocking the shot out cleanly. Kyle is going to be a great MIAC player at the least. He is scoring 11-12 a game.

2:40 mark..... [player_tooltip player_id="958670" first="De'Meiko" last="Anderson"]. Another of my most improved player candidates, [player_tooltip player_id="958670" first="De'Meiko" last="Anderson"] shows the range on a deep three. Anderson is scoring 13.5 points a game and I now believe that this is a scoring playmaker that will be a nice college player. A big key to Anderson's improvement is his growth physically getting a bit taller and a bit stronger, and with that becoming a more consistent player overall.

2:53 mark.... [player_tooltip player_id="958775" first="Brandon" last="Hoban"]. This is an outstanding job breaking the pressure and the best part I think is the timed pass from Hoban - the Islander senior five man - to a cutting Johnson. Hoban has done a nice job stepping into that role as the Islander big. And Johnson, that's a lefty finish. Kyle is not a lefty, as he showed on the very nice clip hitting another feet set triple for De. One more on Johnson, at 3:20 that is clearly a charge take for Johnson. [player_tooltip player_id="850709" first="Willie" last="Wilson"] somehow got the basket on a no call. When it comes to charge takes, it doesn't get any better than that. Don't feel bad for De, [player_tooltip player_id="850709" first="Willie" last="Wilson"] was called for an offensive foul on the very next highlight, and that was clearly a sell. So, it evened out.

3:50 mark... Datrell McCrimmon. Was this the big stage coming out party for Datrell who is a 5'7 sophomore? Maybe. The uptempo pace surely played to his ability. At this mark in the video you see a speedy attack in transition followed by an excellent pass for an assist in transition. Earlier we saw Datrell hit a pull-up in transition. The speedy guard gave North 18 points in this win.

4:55 mark.... McCrimmon. This is an amazing charge take from Datrell. He comes from the top of the key to get in front of the attack AND took a knee to the chest. I'm blown away at the ground he covered to get there. That would be [player_tooltip player_id="850709" first="Willie" last="Wilson"]'s help over but some how Datrell sped by everybody to get there first. When you really think about it, that was one of the more amazing plays you well see.

5:25 mark... [player_tooltip player_id="962218" first="Nasir" last="Whitlock"]. It's hard enough to guard Nasir one on one, it's even tougher when you get too close like the defender did here. Nasir went right around his man for the score. It was two of Whitlock's 27 points.

7:53.... Anderson. I'm happy to get back to Anderson after seeing this move at 7:53 just into the second half. First of all the shot fake completely fools the defender and allows Anderson the angle to attack. From there, De'Meiko gets middle and lifts off the ground and two defenders go with him. Anderson floats by and then comes out the other side to finish at the end of his jump. Such a great body control play that started with a great ball fake. Anderson finished with 14 points.

8:07 mark.... [player_tooltip player_id="850709" first="Willie" last="Wilson"]. First of all, I would say good call by the official as the defender was inside the circle AND I don't the contact from Wilson was too strong for the initiation call. Wilson has scored four or five times to this point and everything has been at the rim. Wilson is certainly one of the toughest players to stop at the cup on the move.

8:46 mark.... McCrimmon. Coming out party in-deed. Back to back threes from the lefty sophomore and the defense couldn't rotate to him in time. Big shots that helped North go from down a score, to up six points. AND a third three in a short amount of time (9:15 mark) that put the Polars up nine! Huge sequence for the young player. A game changing sequence actually.

9:35 mark.... The Crowd. The crowd was actually celebrating on the floor in the middle of the game and the refs had to back them up. hahaha you don't see that much.

10:00 mark.... Wilson to Anderson. What a great lead from Willie. It was Anderson on the exciting finish but he was able to make that play in stride because Willie gave him an incredible lead.

10:25 mark..... The Crowd. Again. I have never seen this before. The students are celebrating on the court and the game needed to be stopped again. The kids are having a grand time cheering, nothing terrible. You just don't see this in high school basketball much in the middle of the game.

11:10 mark.... Whitlock. His pull-up jumper is as clean as they come. This is a perfect example.

11:23 mark... [player_tooltip player_id="958665" first="Jacob" last="Butler"]. This is great and I hope Kevin Grow has seen this. [player_tooltip player_id="958665" first="Jacob" last="Butler"], who has grown a ton as a player and we think highly of him here as a player prospect plus he had 17 points in this game, gets a tough finish to go. After the finish he looks - I think to the cheerleaders and makes some sign with his hands - and runs into another player. And his tongue is out making some silly face. That was great.

11:45 mark... [player_tooltip player_id="1172835" first="Casmir" last="Chavis"]. It's this type of athletic ability that has Casmir on the radar as a potential high major player. If the skills grow with it over the next 18 months he has a chance to be a high level player.

12:35 mark... Wilson to Butler. Another excellent pass from Wilson, this one to Butler who is standing in the corner and makes a big three. The 6'5 wing has some range!

15:00 mark.... [player_tooltip player_id="962218" first="Nasir" last="Whitlock"]. Whitlock has hit three impressive threes with a hand in his face. Impressive makes considering there was a decent hand in his face.
