Tony Roe | Prep Hoops Scout
A big, athletic 6-4 combo forward who can do a little bit of everything on the floor, Kettman had 8 points and 13 rebounds against North Linn, controlling the glass on both ends of the floor. With his size, strength, and athleticism, he can defend multiple positions, and he’s a solid finisher around the rim.

A look at Kettmann’s numbers – 8.0 points, 7.7 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.3 steals, 1.8 blocks – would suggest a good player, but not a “star”. But the stat’s tell a limited story on the impact that he makes on both ends of the floor for Marquette Catholic. A 6-3/6-4 combo forward who can score inside and out, he provides a ton of defensive versatility with his ability to defend on the perimeter or protect the paint.

Kettmann was probably one of the best all-around defensive players in the gym on Sunday night, providing versatility and toughness on that end of the floor. At 6-4, he has the strength and length to combat bigger bodies in the paint, but also has the quickness and IQ to stay in front of smaller ball-handlers on the perimeter. He positions himself really well and communicates at a high level on that end. He’s really good on the glass on both ends of the floor and is a good enough ball-handler and passer to lead the break after pulling down a defensive rebound. He has soft hands and good touch around the rim, and the strength to finish through contact.
