November 23rd about 100 schools start their season. We take a look at a few games that jump out right off the bat.

Mountain Ridge @ Highland

Mountain Ridge makes it’s jump to 6A and opens up against a new look Highland Rams team. Highland has some players that can go in [player_tooltip player_id="934506" first="Elijah" last="Tolbert"] and [player_tooltip player_id="1066745" first="Sefa" last="Brown"]. Sefa is an athlete W/SF and Elijah is a good lead guard. They will matchup against [player_tooltip player_id="967686" first="Jake" last="Fitton"] and [player_tooltip player_id="969233" first="Jackson" last="Moller"] who both have good size and can score the ball. This will be a chess match but it pits two teams making a transition

Northridge @ Weber

This match puts two really good guards against each other at the PG position. Northridge has [player_tooltip player_id="968054" first="Sam" last="Sivulich"] and Weber has [player_tooltip player_id="934476" first="Cannon" last="Devries"]. Both are quick and tough and can score. Sam is a three levels scorer that is an impressive athlete as well. Cannon is speedy and can defend, something will have to give in this matchup. Look for a player like Hunter Schecke to have an opportunity to go off as well for Weber.

Alta @ Pleasant Grove

This is probably one of the best matchups of the night as two teams with skill all over the floor. Pleasant Grove has some guys to watch like [player_tooltip player_id="1127199" first="McCaden" last="Adams"] who is a W/G that can play both ends and is a matchup problem and they will have [player_tooltip player_id="934022" first="Michael" last="Mitton"] running the PG position and a big matchup for [player_tooltip player_id="1199505" first="Isaac" last="Garrett"]. On the other side Alta will showcase [player_tooltip player_id="967725" first="Jaxon" last="Heiden"] and [player_tooltip player_id="1298532" first="Jaxon" last="Johnson"] two 6’9 prospects that can score at all three-levels. [player_tooltip player_id="968776" first="Jett" last="Lundberg"] will also have a challenge against some of those tough PG guards.

Layton @ Copper Hills

At a glance you see a team that has young talent going against a team that has a lot of returning pieces. You would think that Copper Hills could run away with this one but Layton has a scrappy team that will be lead by two young sophomores in [player_tooltip player_id="1057041" first="KJ" last="Miller"] and [player_tooltip player_id="1057040" first="Mekhi" last="Martin"]. Copper Hills will get production from [player_tooltip player_id="968091" first="Quincy" last="Hills"], [player_tooltip player_id="968093" first="McCoy" last="Langston"] and [player_tooltip player_id="968092" first="Luke" last="Moir"]. This could be a high scoring affair.
