Hathcock had a productive senior season, winning all conference honors in the Dayton city league. Another standout from the prep hoops circuit this summer, Hathcock scores the ball at will in the paint. Plays hard, good body and tough rebounder, Hathcock is going to do the dirty work at the next level, another good option for college programs still looking to add some size to their 2023 class. Hathcock received an offer from Concordia University of Ann Arbor in January.

A consistent top performer during the spring and summer on the Prep Hoops Circuit, it was good to catch Hathcock with his high school program as well. Hathcock plays with a good motor and had an early dunk which sparked some energy from his team. He doesn’t have a flashy game, but his ability to finish in the paint through contact is efficient and productive and will translate to the next level. Ponitz was a little sleepy early and Hathcock made some key plays to keep them competitive until they went on a big run in the second half to pull away with the easy victory. The Panthers are one of the more talented teams in the Dayton metro area.

Hathcock was a bright spot for the Golden Panthers in a losing effort to Georgetown. Facing a smaller team, Hathcock controlled the glass and was getting hands on second-chance offensive rebounds. His hands have greatly improved during the offseason as he controlled the ball at chin level and was soft on his touches. Even showed some post play presence with an over the shoulder hook shot or two. Hathcock’s ability to clean up the glass allows teammates Dayjuan Anderson and Jayden Buchanan to confidently get shots up knowing their big man can clean up the glass on a miss.

Hathcock adds a ton of value to his team. He does the dirty work and does it well. Hathcock was a beast over the weekend averaging almost a double-double with 9.6 points per game and 8.1 rebounds per game. He flat out ended and extended possessions all weekend long.
