With the season about to start, it is now a good time as any to preview the players that will be showcasing their talents all year. Today, we take a look at a few 2023 SFs to watch for.
Cooper Farrall Cooper Farrall 6'5" | SF Culver Academy | 2023 State IN – 6’6 – Culver Academy: Farrall is a talented wing that has a very good feel for the game overall. Last year was a little rough for Culver Academy due to games being cancelled all season long so this year I expect Farrall to come out a little hungrier than he normally would. Athletic player that plays with a lot of power and has a real smooth shooting stroke. His recruitment has not really hit that big bang yet but he does have an offer from Saginaw Valley State. Expect his recruitment to take off soon and a monster high school year for Farrall.
Brandon Trilli Brandon Trilli 6'5" | SF Munster | 2023 State IN – 6’5 – Munster: Trili transferred into the state over the summer and almost immediately made an impact. Not a really a traditional wing as he plays more around the basket where he scores pretty consistently. Has grown a little bit and has some of the best floor IQ out of any SF in the 2023 class. Smaller schools should be all over him soon. Muster made one of the best additions out of any team in the state.
Peyton Bledsoe Peyton Bledsoe 6'4" | SF Loogootee | 2023 State IN – 6’4 – Loogootee: Bledsoe is a skilled, talented wing that can score at all three levels at a very high level. Loogootee will look a whole lot different this season due to graduations so Bledsoe is going to be relied on heavily for the Lions. Even though he is a little overlooked at times, he has always been one of the more advanced players in his class ever since he was a freshman. Expecting Bledsoe to put up some big numbers this season.
J.J. Morris J.J. Morris 6'6" | SF Argos | 2023 State IN – 6’5 – Argos: Morris is a versatile wing that continues to impress. Offensively he can do a lot things due to his skill, athleticism, and IQ. Pretty strong and plays very physical on both ends. Without question, Morris is going to be the stud of this season’s Argos team and should be their highest scorer. Strongly believe a breakout season is coming up for Morris this fall.
Jake Davis Jake Davis 6'6" | SF Cathedral | 2023 State IN – 6’6 – Cathedral: Davis is a big, strong, and just a flat out talented wing overall. Can not only shoot the lights out of the ball but can also hammer it inside and finish consistently. Currently only has offers from Thomas More University, Marian University, and Indiana Wesleyan so expect a lot more to come soon for Davis. He will be a major part for Cathedral, who should be the best team in all of 4A this season.
