BROOKFIELD -- A look at some of the top individual performances from Sunday's action during week two of the Brookfield Central Fall League...

Chevalier Emery - 2022 - G - Neenah

Thought Emery had a very positive impact on his team for two games, both blowout wins for the Rockets. Starting defensively, the Merrimack commit took the challenge head-on against two of the top guards in the state and it felt like he won those individual matchups. It was just a Sunday fall league, but you wouldn't have been able to tell by Emery's aggressiveness and passion on the defensive end of the floor. Offensively, he was just as good. With Emery's quickness and 3-point sharpshooting, he can make defenders pick their poison. Wouldn't call Emery a point guard, but he definitely has a good feel for the game and upper-level floor vision. Also a plus athlete, the 5-foot-10 senior was all over the rim in transition throughout the day.

Not flashy by any means. Won’t see many cameras lined up to get highlights on him, but Gardner produces and gets results. A basketball savvy prospect that processes all of his options before he makes a decision/play, Gardner is a high-IQ that makes everyone around him better. Gardner also had a heckuva individual performance against Brookfield Central. The junior guard went off from 3-point range, carrying Franklin in the second half. What I liked the most, even though he was red hot, Franklin never took a bad shot. He continued to let the game come to him and played within himself.

[player_tooltip player_id="1141642" first="Solomon" last="Garrison"] - 2023 - PG - Homestead

Garrison had a lot of success breaking down defenders and getting into the paint on Sunday. The junior floor general got defenders to bite time and time again with hesitation dribbles, raising the ball and tempting defenders to creep closer, only to put it right back down on the floor and blow by to the rim. Didn’t finish at the bucket as well as he would have liked, but Garrison was living in the paint against Whitnall. Knows when to take the ball all the way or drop it off to a teammate. He’s only about 5-foot-9, but has long arms. Garrison was a double-figure scorer as a sophomore and also dished out over five assists per game.

[player_tooltip player_id="1089682" first="Nick" last="Janowski"] - 2024 - G - Pewaukee

Wonder what type of numbers Janowski would put up this season if he wasn’t playing with arguably the best starting five in the state. Guessing they’ll still be pretty substantial regardless. The 6-foot-4 sophomore will emerge as one of the top shot creators, not only in his class, but in the state. Janowski has a deadly sweeping crossover that gets defenders leaning and sets up his step-back game. The lefty has very quick feet for his size as well, which allows him to create plenty of space for rhythm jumpers. Janowski is more scoring-minded, but he'll make some flashy passes and can whip the ball cross-court to shooters. With his combination of size and skills, Janowski can pretty much play all three perimeter spots.

With the Lancers in a bit of a rebuild mode entering 2021-22, Rohde is ready to step up and be "the guy." The St. Thomas commit looked really good on Sunday, sizing defenders up and just going to work. At 6-foot-5 with some added length, Rohde can rise up for a triple whenever he wants. However, he's a three-level scorer that will face up in the mid-range off horns action or take smaller guards down in the post and score over the top. Also a two-way player, Rohde came up with a number of key stops down the stretch to cool off a hot Franklin team in the second half and lead the Lancers to a win in a game that was very high scoring until Rohde started to put the clamps on.

[player_tooltip player_id="865843" first="Grant" last="Martin"] - 2022 - SG - Menomonee Falls

Martin shot the ball at a high level throughout the day. With Falls shorthanded, Martin really helped carry the load offensively. Martin is physically and mentally tough. Due to his size, he has to work extra hard to get his shots sometimes and shoot under durress. Still, Martin continues to knock it down consistently. Earlier in his career, Martin made his way from the 3-point line. He's still very dangerous from deep, but Martin has clearly worked very hard on his step-back game and scoring the mid-range. Given the Phoenix have two bonafide studs in their backcourt, Martin may not always put up big numbers, but he'll be a reliable No. 3 for Falls and certainly aid their floor spacing.

[player_tooltip player_id="1089755" first="Devyn" last="Orr"] - 2022 - SF - Menomonee Falls

A prospect that showed some things a year ago, Orr had some very good spurts for Falls on Sunday. The senior wing mixed it up by knocking down 3's and getting to the rim. Really liked how Orr finished with his off-hand. A strong, athletic prospect, Orr looks the part physically and has some nice finesse moves with he gets in close. Orr had a limited role last season for the Phoenix, but he may step into their starting lineup this winter and give them some added firepower.

[player_tooltip player_id="988975" first="J.J." last="Paider"] - 2022 - PF - Neenah

Things are starting to click for Paider, who had two very strong efforts on Sunday. The senior forward is playing his best ball right now and starting to have dominant stretches of basketball. A lengthy and bouncy forward, Paider can be a factor in transition with his ability to run the floor. He's got terrific hands to catch in traffic and nimble feet. Paider gets off the ground quickly, especially off two feet, which is bad news for opponents who try and block his shot. Paider is showing flashes of versatility as well. He can shoot in the pick n' pop game and occasionally put the ball on the deck from the perimeter. Eager to see what Paider gives a loaded Neenah time this season.

[player_tooltip player_id="1254288" first="Jack" last="Riley"] - 2023 - W - Catholic Memorial

A sleeper who can help a talented Crusader squad this winter, Riley scored the ball very well on Sunday. With many of the Catholic Memorial stars still in football season, Riley delivered with his extended minutes and touches. Riley has excellent positional size at 6-foot-5. He uses that size very well around the rim and can score fading away from the hole. A nice catch-and-shoot prospect, Riley has a smooth, effortless release from downtown. A prototypical swingman, Riley's first instincts are to space the floor, but if the shot's not there, he moves it quickly. He can also invert himself in the offense and score with his back to the basket.

[player_tooltip player_id="981005" first="Danny" last="Staskunas"] - 2023 - G - West Allis Hale

Staskunas was able to carry Hale offensively as both a scorer and facilitator. The junior guard played as well as I’ve ever seen on Sunday. Staskunas had 23 points and four assists in a win over Catholic Memorial. Staskunas was just freezing defenders with stop and start dribbles, changing his speed and direction which opened up clear driving lanes or created space for pull-up jumpers. Staskunas also made great decisions in the pick n' roll. He found his roll man diving to the hole or caught the help-side defense cheating into the paint and skipped the ball cross-court for open triples. Able to play on and off the ball, Staskunas is a knockdown shooter who can also create off the dribble.
