This was a great opportunity to see a bunch of guys as they head into their first season of high school basketball. Here, we take a look and evaluate the players that made up Team 2.
#2 Brayden Kunberger Brayden Kunberger 5'5" | PG New Haven | 2025 IN (New Haven H.S. 2025)- Small, pass-first point guard that did a good job of making plays for his teammates throughout the day. Kunberger is just 5’5″ right now and will become a better scorer as he grows throughout the years. Right now, he is a table-setter with good court vision and passing ability.
#9 Austin Stein Austin Stein 5'8" | PG Covington | 2025 IN (Covington H.S. 2025)- Stein shot the ball well over the course of several games at the Freshman Showcase on Saturday. Had a double-digit scoring performance later in the afternoon. At 5’8″ he has room to grow but when he does the shooting ability is there for him to develop into a nice prospect out of the western part of Indiana.
#52 Landyn Richason Landyn Richason 6'2" | SG Evansville Central | 2025 IN (Evansville Central H.S. 2025)- Richason is a 5’11″ guard that can really shoot it from beyond the arc. He is looking to catch-and-shoot at all times on the offensive end. Quick release and made several threes throughout the day at the showcase. Will be a name to remember coming out of the Evansville area.
#53 Michael Cooper Michael Cooper 6'2" | PG Jeffersonville | 2025 State IN (Jeffersonville H.S. 2025)- Good looking point guard that can make all of the plays that you want on the offensive end. Cooper showed great court vision and passing ability in the games that I saw him play on Saturday. 5’11″ lead guard with the ability to drive and finish as well as set up his teammates. Good looking floater that he used in the lane.
#67 Avery Cook Avery Cook 6'1" | PG Concordia Lutheran | 2025 IN (Fort Wayne Concordia H.S. 2025)- 6’0″ guard with a smooth offensive game. Cook is a jump shooter that connected from beyond the arc and knocked in shots from the mid-range as well. Overall skilled offensive player.
#85 Jackson Farris Jackson Farris 6'2" | PF Northview | 2025 IN (Northview H.S. 2025)- Left-handed wing that showed the ability to score both on the perimeter and finish in the paint. Along with showing a smooth lefty shot, the 6’1″ Farris scored it as the roll man in the pick-and-roll, ran the floor hard, and hit the offensive glass.
#108 Garrett Clark Garrett Clark 6'4" | SG Portage | 2025 State IN (Portage H.S. 2025)- Clark is a 6’2″ guard that shot the ball very well from three-point range at the Freshman Showcase. He is a clear shot-maker from beyond the arc with good size for a young prospect. One of a handful of solid players in the freshman class at Portage.
#109 Damien King Damien King 6'4" | SF Anderson | 2025 State IN (Anderson H.S. 2025)- Impressive athlete on the wing with the ability to score in a variety of ways. The 6’2″ King had some good looking baseline drives and finished around the rim. Very good driver, especially for his size at this point in his development. Should be a nice two-way prospect going forward out of Anderson.
#134 Anthony DeFur Anthony DeFur 6'4" | SF Mooresville | 2025 State IN (Mooresville H.S. 2025)- Good looking 6’4″ wing with impressive athleticism. DeFur handles the ball well for his size and showed the ability to make shots out to three-point range as well. Had a couple impressive drives against a closeout and finished inside. Ran the floor and finished in transition. Good all-around player.
#149 Nuar Dual Nuar Dual 6'5" | PF Carmel | 2025 IN (Carmel H.S. 2025)- Dual was one of the better looking long-term prospects at the Freshman Showcase. A 6’5″ forward, the left-hander is incredibly long and athletic with a lot of projectable talent. Dual rebounds outside of his area and can block shots around the basket. Had some impressive coast-to-coast drives throughout the day as well. Definitely a good looking Class of 2025 prospect especially as the offensive skill catches up to his athleticism and size.
