Cameron Grant Cameron Grant 6'5" | PF Saint Edward | 2023 State OH , 6’5 PF Saint Edward 2023: Grant had an excellent spring and summer with OBC, really flashing his outside shooting ability. Grant was a great fit on this team next to talented guards that really benefitted from his size and floor spacing. Grant has a quick release and can shoot in a variety of ways, off the pick and pop, off the catch and some off the bounce. I really want to see Grant perform on the varsity level this season for the Saint Edward Eagles. I think I’m a little ahead of the curve on Grant and the rest of the state will soon see how talented he is.
Anthony Mosley Anthony Mosley 6'3" | PF Lima Sr | 2023 State OH , 6’3 PF Lima Sr 2023: You might scratch your head at a 6’3 PF but Mosley plays his heart out each time he steps on the floor. One of the best rebounders in the state, Mosley has a great motor. Mosley played for C2K this summer and still found ways to produce on the shoe circuit level at the 16U age group. His size does have limitations, it would be silly to suggest the contrary. However, Mosley finds ways to not let this prevent him from getting stuff done on the court. In simplest terms, if we’re playing winner stays on at the park, I’ll draft Mosley on my time. Mosley also plays football and based on his play style on the basketball court, I bet he’s a handful for offensive lines to stop.
Gavin Headings Gavin Headings 6'8" | PF Pickerington Central | 2023 State OH , 6’5 PF Pickerington Central 2023: The most versatile offensive prospect covered in this article, Headings has a lot of natural talent on the offensive end. Headings can put the ball on the floor and create for himself. Headings had an up and down season with Pickerington Central, but with another off-season with the program, I think he could break out this season. Colleges are going to love the skill-set that Headings has at his size and age, if he can learn how to produce with these skills, he could be an X-factor for Pickerington Central this season.
Peyton Frey Peyton Frey 6'5" | PF Hilliard Davidson | 2023 State OH , 6’5 PF Hilliard Davidson 2023: Frey isn’t very flashy but he was very productive for NOVA this spring and summer. Frey can finish with both hands and can space the floor. Frey plays with a no nonsense attitude and does a lot of dirty work for whatever team he’s playing for. I like what Frey brings to the table and think he could be another breakout candidate in the central Ohio area.
Danny Lavelle Danny Lavelle 6'5" | PF Saint Edward | 2023 State OH , 6’5 PF Saint Edward 2023: Lavelle was starting for Saint Ed’s as a Sophomore, something that you don’t see very often at the varsity level. Lavelle fits on whatever team he plays on, passing the ball at a high level from the forward position. Lavelle moves well without the basketball and built some chemistry with Michael Bova Michael Bova 6'2" | CG St. Edward | 2022 State OH last season. With how productive he was with Saint Edward, I feel like I might be underrating Lavelle, we’ll see how this upcoming season plays out.
