Below are speedy undersized guards, a wing that can handle the rock, and a ton of guys that you couldn’t keep out the paint on Saturday
Senior guard Kevin Odom Kevin Odom 5'7" | PG Jackson | 2022 State FL looked like an offensive set unto himself. When he’s on the ball, he’s setting up plays for other. There’s no doubt he can run an offense at the next level. When he’s off the ball, he’s using his speed to dart around the court to find scoring opportunities. He found himself behind the first line of defense, often making mid ranges jumper. Odom May only be 5’6 but that didn’t stop him from showing off his bounce with an explosive two hand dunk attempt during shoot around.
Bennie Mcduffie Bennie Mcduffie 5'6" | PG Mandarin | 2022 State FL ’s play went just as expected. The 5’6 speedster gets out in transition and makes plays for others in the halfcourt. Defenders found it hard to stay in front of him after his first move. Once his guy is in the rearview, McDuffie can see the entire floor and makes the right read for his teammates to score.
I came into the Expo expecting Krishen Atwal Krishen Atwal 6'6" | SG Trinity Prep | 2022 State FL to play one way, and he surprised with his playmaking. The 6’6 forward showed off his handle, breaking down his man and getting to the rim from the top of the key. His passing and court vision out of moves allowed him to rack up assists in the final game.
2024 Damon Folds was one of the best and most consistent playmakers out of the bunch. Folds has a nice handle and can get deep into the paint to draw defenses. He has a great court vision and passing. The sophomore can get hot beyond the three point line.
Kent Jackson Kent Jackson 6'3" | CG Episcopal | 2024 State FL makes plays as a shifty ball handler. His quickness was a problem for defenders, resulting in repeated paint touches. Once his feet were in the lane, the 2024 guard made crafty layups and scoring opportunities for others.
2024 Benley Jean Louis is a shifty playmaker. His ability to make plays for others put him in a position to score at the rim. Once he got there, his craftiness made tough layups look routine.
Kervin Knaggs Kervin Knaggs 6'1" | PG Auburndale | 2023 State FL took over his team from the jump. With his handle, he can get past his defender and create scoring opportunities whenever he has space. He knocked down threes when he was off the ball and got to the rim when he was on it. As the lead ball handler, Knaggs kept his teammates happy with kick out passes as help defenses stepped over.
