PH takes a look at the top CG’s in the new rankings. [player_tooltip player_id="766845" first="Jeremiah" last="Dargan"] 6’5 of Clayton Valley Charter HS. In his first year at Clayton Valley, Dargan had a breakout season showing he could be more than just a facilitator. The versatile guard averaged 18.7 pts, 8.9 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and shot 88% from the free throw line in 15 games during the season. He carried that over to the club season, and live periods where he was very productive against quality competition. He has DI offers [player_tooltip player_id="947389" first="Isaiah" last="Kerr"] 6’2 of St. Francis HS Kerr has already signed on to play at Montana. With continued development he could be a solid playmaker at the next level. He’s a high IQ player who is a superb facilitator, and leads by example. He has always handled the pressures of bringing the ball up court, and being effective at getting to his spots on the perimeter. He’s steadily improved his shot making off the ball. [player_tooltip player_id="766857" first="Ameere" last="Britton"] 6’2 of Elk Grove HS Britton has been performing at a high level on a consistent bases since he started high school ball. He’s been leading his teams in high school and club ball for a while. The competitive guard is explosive attacking the rim through traffic, he has hops that will surprise some. He has the skills and toughness to take over a game. [player_tooltip player_id="1112640" first="Jojo" last="Murphy"] 6’1 of Piedmont HS One of the more exciting players in NorCal. He makes the game look fun, with his slick handles, vision, and passing skills. He’ll get the job done at either position at this level. He has a good all around arsenal that defenses will have to contend with throughout the game. His shot behind the 3-point line opens things up for teammates. Brown has set himself up for a big season with his steady work as a versatile player while playing with his club team during aau, and the live periods. Brown the long wiry player has guard skills, looks good at the top facilitating the offense. He has good slashing moves to the basket, and can avoid direct contact with good control. He has decent foot speed, a long wingspan to rebound and be disruptive on defense. [player_tooltip player_id="953989" first="Jordan" last="Aquino"] 5’8 of Lincoln HS. San Francisco. Aquino will have impact in any game when he’s on the court with the ball. He’s smart enough to know when to facilitate, show patience and settle his team in half court sets. He’s capable of going all out to attack defenders at all angles. He can score buckets with hard drives, pulling up for dime jumpers, and will knock down 3-pointers in rhythm. He’s an underrated passer. [player_tooltip player_id="766849" first="Andre" last="Warren"] 6’3 of Lincoln HS. Stockton Warren’s versatility and play making skills will be on display this season. He’s shown himself to be a quality player who’ll be a key contributor. He’s a smart player that can get points in the open court. His ball handling and passing are good in the open court. He works well finishing plays on the drive, and will hit the pull up jumper with some success. He works well around the post area, and can defend bigger players. His foot speed allows him to stay with quick guards, his strength helps him fight through screen to stay close to shooters. He’s put in a lot of work sharpening his guard skills this summer against quality competition during the live period. His jump shot, and ability to get to the rim will be on display
