Schools are in session and teams are having open gyms and workouts in preparation for the upcoming season. There has been a lot of movement this spring and summer as players have transferred. Here’s a look at some impact transfers in the Junior class.

[player_tooltip player_id="932772" first="Jack" last="Edelen"], Ballard --> Male - I have written a lot about Edelen’s transfer since it went down at the end of school but the Bulldogs could now have the floor general they’ve missed since [player_tooltip player_id="783053" first="Jake" last="Evans"] graduated. Jack can score on about anyone but he knows when to pick his spots and how to keep teammates happy by spreading around shots.

[player_tooltip player_id="932773" first="Keith" last="Robinson"], DeSales --> PRP - The blue collar worker from Louisville left DeSales to play with some of his AAU teammates and pursue a regional title at PRP. Robinson can play the post or initiate offense and his versatility on both ends of the floor should give PRP a huge boost in their pursuit of a 6th region title.

[player_tooltip player_id="1201522" first="Kirk" last="Lemons"], PRP --> CAL - As PRP added Robinson, they lost Lemons. Now at CAL, Kirk will look for open looks as opposing teams shade their defense towards GW3. Leaving a guard heavy roster at PRP could help Lemons get more shots for a CAL team that is likely to play at a high pace and have a lot of possessions every night out.

[player_tooltip player_id="1221418" first="Crew" last="Gibson"], Floyd Central (IN) --> DeSales - DeSales lost one blue collar big and added 2 as Crew and his brother Will have moved to Louisville and will play for the Colts this season. Crew could be a 6’6’ version of Robinson and will likely provide the same type of interior presence they lost when Keith left for PRP.

[player_tooltip player_id="1221671" first="Mason" last="Guffey"], Grant County --> Taylor County - Guffey stepped into a starting role for the Cardinals this summer and looks like he could be one of the most impactful new faces in the 5th region. Mason will definitely be missed at Grant County as he was a huge part of their success last year but his game could take the next step in a bigger role at Taylor.
