Now, let’s take a look at five forwards who improved their ranking the most since the last update in April. If you missed it, we already broke down five backcourt stock-risers on Tuesday afternoon.
A.J. Dixon A.J. Dixon 6'5" | SF Merrillville | 2022 State IN (Merrillville H.S. 2022)
Dixon has the unique versatility to be able to play the 2-4 spots on both ends of the floor. At 6’5″ with a strong frame, he can match up physically with bigger guys around the basket while still having the lateral quickness and athleticism to compete on the perimeter. Dixon was excellent this summer for Indiana Elite Team Indiana and continues to be one of the most under-recruited players in the state.
Raedhyn Foust Raedhyn Foust 6'8" | PF Northeastern | 2022 State IN (Northeastern H.S. 2022)
This 6’8″ big man is going to be one of the most sought after small college forwards in the state. Foust has a lot of offensive skill with a soft shooting touch out to three-point range. Around the basket he has really improved his ability to finish in the post thanks to packing on 10-15 pounds of muscle since the last high school season. Those improvements allowed him to make a double-digit jump in the prospect rankings.
Kaden Manna Kaden Manna 6'6" | PF Marquette Catholic | 2022 State IN (Marquette Catholic H.S. 2022)
Manna is a crafty left-hander around the basket that can really, really score the basketball. He is a very mobile at 6’5″-6’6″ with the ability to get out and rim run. In the post, Manna makes quick moves with a nice drop step going both ways. He handles the ball well enough to drive it against bigger defenders as well. Just an all-around interior scorer. One of the biggest improvements of anyone in the state, Manna rose about 75 spots since the April rankings.
Matt Spears Matt Spears 6'7" | PF Arsenal Tech | 2022 State IN (Arsenal Tech H.S. 2022)
Classic pick-and-pop 4-man that really gained some traction with college coaches in the early summer. Spears is a very good shooter at 6’7″ with a long, lean frame. He earned a Tulane offer already and has 20 spots in the class rankings to #36. This is a guy who could easily make another big jump after the high school season.
Shon Tupuola Shon Tupuola 6'8" | C Brownsburg | 2022 State IN (Brownsburg H.S. 2022)
What can you say about the move the Brownsburg big man made? Tupuola made the biggest rankings improvement of anyone in the state as he rose over 100 spots to #28. After growing to a legit 6’8″ with excellent length he has the physical tools you would want in a 5-man at the next level. He dunks everything on the offensive end and protects the rim defensively. Division I’s are circling currently with Indianapolis already in the fold with an offer.
