Isaac Sales 5’11 Players First: A talented 2023 point guard who was one of the most outstanding defensive players that I watched during the weekend. He was a certified pick-pocket on the court as he stole the ball away from the opponents in every way imaginable. He would take it off the dribble, strip a post player from the weak side or jump a passing lane. His quick hands and ball hawking enabled him to make some game changing plays. Attends Gateway Legacy.
Bryson Huntspon 6’5 The Pack: An athletic 2023 forward who was very active around the basket with his rebound and shot blocking. He had excellent length and a quick second and third jump to excel on the offensive boards. He also ran the court well and got buckets in the transition game. He has plenty of potential for growth. Big upside. Attends Hazelwood East.
Demetrius Payne 5’9 The Pack: A thick-bodied combo guard who had the ability to score in a variety of ways. He could get to the basket to score on runners or knock down 3-pointers. He was a solid ball handler who stayed low on the dribble and he delivered some nice pocket passes on the pick and roll. Attends Hazelwood Central.
Grant Grewe 6’3 Players First: A 2023 forward with a very solid body who didn’t mind mixing it up a little in the low post. He played strong around the basket and he also had the ability to score on the drive and hit the 15 footer on that line drive jumper of his. He played with a high motor. Attends Priory.
Khalil Johnson 6’2 The Pack: A 2023 guard who played a solid overall game. He was a primary ball handler for his team so he could facilitate the offense. He was a very effective slasher who would slice through the lane to get buckets and draw fouls. He is a good athlete so he could also rebound and impact the game on the defensive end. Attends Hazelwood West.
