A look at the top 17U prospects to watch this weekend at the Prep Hoops Summer Challenge...

[player_tooltip player_id="994376" first="Luke" last="Bara"] - 2022 - G - ABC Young Lions Black

The former Muskego guard has reclassified to 2022 and is putting together a big summer. Bara will be coming off an impressive performance at Wisconsin’s advanced camp and is drawing Division 1 interest. Bara has potential to go off offensively and can really get it going for long stretches. A quick, highly skilled guard with a lot of tools, Bara’s in-the-gym range along with blow-by ability on the ball make him very difficult to defend.

[player_tooltip player_id="727955" first="Jeffery" last="Brazziel"] - 2022 - SF - Wisconsin Playground Club

Auburn, Marquette, Georgetown, TCU, Arizona State, and Maryland have all offered Brazziel thus far. A silky smooth, high scoring wing, Brazziel is a very difficult matchup 1-on-1. At 6-foot-5, Brazziel can play low to the ground and just sneak his way around opposing wings. He’s a long strider that covers ground quickly. As much as defenders have to respect the slashing ability, Brazziel is a consistent outside shooter that can also create off the bounce. A top three prospect in the 2022 class, Brazziel has the tools to be a bonafide scorer at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id="865835" first="Terryon" last="Brumby"] - 2022 - PG - Gallo Sports Center

A kid that’s flying under the radar in this state, Brumby is a strong, athletic guard that does a lot of things well. Brumby plays with a competitive edge and has a knack for making tough things look easy at times. Brumby can thrive when he gets downhill and can use his strong frame to power through contact en route to the rim. He’s also a skilled finisher at the rim, able to outlast defenders in mid-air and adjust his shot if needed.

[player_tooltip player_id="950097" first="Learic" last="Davis"] - 2022 - G/W - Wisconsin Playground Club

One of the top "blow-up" contenders in July, Davis is on the rise after a breakout spring. Texas A&M is the lone high major offer for Davis, but more are surely coming once the live period hits. A 6-foot-7, multi-dimensional prospect, Davis can play anywhere on the perimeter, including point guard. He’s an elite athlete with length and a more well-rounded game than he gets credit for. Sure, the above the rim stuff is exciting, but Davis has a nice feel offensively and makes plays for others. He also uses his measurables well on the defensive end and makes plenty of plays there as well.

[player_tooltip player_id="988983" first="Noah" last="Feddersen"] - 2022 - PF - Wisconsin Playmakers

A solid Division 2 big man prospect, Feddersen has offers from Minot State, Northern Michigan, and Michigan Tech. The 6-foot-8 junior is a skilled, mobile forward that can score with his back to the basket, run the floor in transition, and has some budding versatility to shoot the ball away from the rim. Good blend of strength and athleticism here. Feddersen can beat defenders with both finesse and power. He’s also a surprisingly good athlete for his size, able to rise above the rim with ease.

[player_tooltip player_id="761401" first="Marshawn" last="Robinson"] - 2022 - SG - Wisconsin Playground Club PH

Robinson has been fielding some Division 1 interest this summer. A strong, athletic guard that’s one of the best-kept secrets in the state, Robinson can score and facilitate. He’s got some scary moves in the isolation and has drastically improved his shooting since his freshman year, particularly in the mid-range. Also an explosive athlete, Robinson can do some exciting things above the rim. He’s got two-guard size, but is kind of wired as a point guard, always looking to get others involved and plays the game very unselfishly.

[player_tooltip player_id="865839" first="Darrien" last="Long"] - 2022 - F - Gallo Sports Center

One of the best athletes in Wisconsin’s 2022 class, Long jumps as well a any prospect. He’s undersized as a forward (6-5), but has a really good-looking upper body along with some added length. Long is a dangerous player in transition. Just throw the ball near the rim and he’ll go get it. In the spring, Long also flashed some improved shooting and slashing ability. Defensively, he’s an eraser on that end of the floor. Long is very good at covering up mistakes and protecting the rim.

[player_tooltip player_id="1189004" first="L.J." last="Wells"] - 2022 - SF - Wisconsin Playmakers

Fresh off an offer from Minot State, Wells will be looking for more. One of the fastest-rising prospects in the state, Wells is a very intriguing wing/forward. At 6-foot-7, Wells is a plus athlete that can slash to the bucket and play above the rim. He’s showing flashes as well with his ball handling, particularly in the open floor, and outside shooting ability. Wells looks the part and has a very high ceiling. Think he could be a game changer at the Division 2 level as his best days are still down the road.
