Had the great pleasure once again to be a part of one of Pro Movement’s Showcases as they had a nice turnout down at McDonough HS last Sunday.

Here are some of the top performers from a competitive day:

[player_tooltip player_id="1199597" first="Ethan" last="Elliott"], 6-3, SG, Central Fellowship Christian Academy, 2022 (pictured above)

Love when I get the chance to see guys from South GA come up this way for showcases or tournaments, Elliott was clearly among the day’s standouts with an advanced and clever offensive game of jump-shooting from multiple ranges and deceptively flee-afoot drives through the D, a sleeper to watch who’s well-rounded game translates well to the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id="952581" first="Izaiyah" last="Nelson"], 6-8, PF, Marietta, 2022

The motor was running hot and the results were evident for this special athlete, gets up and down the floor like a gazelle, can seriously guard the rim, finishes up above the rim or with a mid-range game that has superb potential, all the tools to have a monster senior season.

Caleb Moore, 6-2, PG, Washington County, 2022

Quickly has morphed into one of my favorite PG prospects, physical and college-ready frame, excellent all-around skills as a ballhandler, defender and distributor, wonderful athlete who just plays sound ball that will translate to a next-level program immediately.

[player_tooltip player_id="1130592" first="Yannis" last="Woods"], 6-7, PF, Jonesboro, 2022

So much to like about the package with Woods, long and skilled he plays like someone 6-10 the way he finishes near the basket and guards the rim, he’s been awesome with Georgia Fire this spring and showed off the elite athletic ability Sunday that will make him a prized find for the school that’s smart enough to spend the resources.

G’Ron Mack, 5-9, PG, Warner Robins, 2023

Nice burst off the dribble, got from A to B as quickly as anyone on hand, loved the work driving it from all spots particularly on the baseline where he had to finish through the trees, excellent ballhandler and on-ball defender.

Damoni Harrison, 6-5, PG, Archer, 2022

There was Harrison again getting it done after a stellar performance the previous day at SHR’s Summer Showcase, see my notes there as he brought all of the same versatility and skill in back-to-back days.

Grant Randall, 6-6, PF, McDonough, 2022

Playing on his home floor suited Randall well as he looked comfortable around the basket, he’s lean and wiry but the effort-level helps make up for the lack of bulk, quick off the deck both as rebounder and rim protector and showed some shooting out to 15 feet.

Keenan Gray, 6-1, SG, McDonough, 2024

Nice lefty athlete who slashed his way onto my radar for the day, didn’t force the action and picked his spots well on the dribble attack from multiple angles, good activity at both ends created chances in the open floor.

Shawn Walker, 6-5, PF, Walnut Grove, 2022

An All-Hustle guy for sure on the day, loved his work around the baskets as he rebounds with ferocity and has a nice frame for battling through contact, plenty athletic enough to guard both out on the perimeter or on the block, has the tools to really surprise and emerge this fall as a must-see.

Javecckio Thomas, 6-4, SF, Washington County, 2022

Plays so much bigger with his elite athleticism, goes hard to the basket as a finisher and rebounder, can play above the rim or use speed off the bounce for the blow-by, a terror on the fast break.

Lamorius Everett, 6-2, SG, Peach County, 2022

Among the better athletes I saw Everett plays a bit more like a forward as he hovers around the basket and likes to catch it in and around 10 feet, looked terrific out in space finishing on the break and with long arms was versatile guarding multiple guys.
