Prep Hoops Circuit – The All Session 9 Team

The Prep Hoops Circuit was recently in Milwaukee, Kansas City, and Ohio for a big weekend of action.  Top five performers from those events?  The All Session 9 Team honors the best. 

Quentin Bolton Quentin Bolton 6'5" | SF Shoreland Lutheran | 2021 State WI Jr of Wisconsin Playground PH (WI). Bolton, a 6’6 2021 big wing, was one of the toughest players to guard at the Cream City Collision.  He was going to get a double-double regardless of what teams did but even tougher was Bolton’s ability to make shots over players including the regulation buzzer beater in the corner that eventually led to a win.  Half the teams had nobody to move with him and the other half that did, Bolton still scored over the top. 

Mike Erbeck of Illinois Stars (IL). Erbeck, a 6’1 2021 guard, put together one of the better shooting weekends that the Prep Hoops Circuit has seen this spring.  Erbeck is one of the top available players in the Midwest right now and he’s playing like he wants teams to sign him up immediately.  The 32 point game making eight threes with seven boards was most memorable but even in his "down game" Erbeck made four threes. 

Parker Friedrichsen of Tulsa Hawks (OK).  Friedrichsen is on the short list for Prep Hoops Circuit 17U All American right now and if there was/is a Prep Hoops Circuit MVP, Parker would be on the short list for that too.  Friedrichsen tore up the nets in KC for a second time including a nine make three-point game scoring 33 points, a six three-point make game scoring 31, and a five three point make game scoring 19 points. 

Jevon Porter Jevon Porter 6'11" | SF Tolton Catholic | 2022 State #110 Nation MO of MP3 Elite (MO). The first thing that caught my eye on watching Porter play was his comfort defending ball screens, and his ability to freeze attacking players with his help defense around the rim.  Porter steps over and stops guard without much effort and that’s a rare thing for a guy 6’10.  Then when you add the ball skills the other way with consistent production, that where this 2022 falls into the category of nationally ranked player and leader of an undefeated team in the Kansas City event. 

Louie Semona of Midwest Basketball Club (OH). The star shining the brightest in Ohio was Louie Semona. Standing 6-foot-8 as a wing, Semona is a skilled 2022 that should earn the honors of "weekend MVP".  Semona led his team to a 4-0 weekend highlighted by a 29 point outing.  It was more than the big numbers, Semona was also the most consistent standout at the event game to game.
