Middle Tennessee’s PSB-Nashville UA-Rise 16u sent their best and brightest to Indiana over Memorial Day Weekend. This feature is exclusively about their performance(s).
Late Saturday morning, the PSB-Nashville 16u squad faced a “home” team named Grand Park Premier. PSB-Nashville 16u suffered a pouncing early and frankly played shell-shocked for much of the first half. Games were four 8-minute quarters (HS) with clock stoppages akin to college basketball.

Evaluations
Eddie Ricks III – Long, lean. Did not show off his shooting touch in this one. Ricks floats around the floor really smoothly for his height and age.
Camden Andrews – The leadership role of PSB-Nashville 16u belongs to Camden Andrews. Head Coach Will Harris is very, very high on Camden. What did CA show in the loss to Grand Park Premier 16u? Andrews is quick with and without the basketball. For a college prospect, Camden is average quickness and for a high school point guard he is a plus-plus quickster. He missed a couple free throws, which was annoying. The game was well out of hand by that point, but it is certainly worthy of another look. Point guards simply can not be spotty from the line as it makes them virtually unusable in late-game scenarios. Again, it was a terrifically small sample from which to make any meaningful conjecture.
Caden Herron – Classic big. Caden is not the athlete most of his teammates are, but but he provides a couple of invaluable things: court awareness, low post presence, amiable personality. Caden is a load to keep off the glass at the 16u level. Few players can keep him from rebounding when he sets his mind. There is some awkwardness that Herron needs to grow out of. As far as Caden’s future, he projects as a NAIA big. He reminds of a Dalton Marsh Dalton Marsh 6'6" | PF Red Boiling Springs | 2020 State TN , but without the same expert shooting touch. Herron is an important piece, but can not be the primary scoring option.
