Ty Oldham – 6’0/SG/2018 – Indianapolis Herron – Oldham is a big guard with under-the-radar athleticism and a solid shooting stroke. Not really fast in the open floor but in a small space he has enough quickness to create separation. His jumper from three is really good and he seems to be working in his mid-range game a little more. Showed a nice pull-back jumper. Good at creating off the bounce and will give you some offense but isn’t big on the boards. Would like to see him get into the paint a bit more and add another area to his game. Lacks ideal size but has a strong body and still could sprout up an inch or so.
Christian Harvey – 6’0/PG/2018 – Richmond – Harvey is a really strong guard who can get buckets. Loves to drive the lane and create where he has a solid hesitation move and can sidestep a defender to create. He has a toughness to him that he uses to really attack the rim and it also helps him as a rebounder because he can play bigger than his 6’0 frame. He has a good perimeter jumper but isn’t a huge weapon for him, his second option. He can be a very productive scorer with efficiency because he scores most everything in and around the rim.
Hunter White – 6’2/PG/2018 – Indianapolis Tindley – White is a tall guard who continues to track up in every game you watch. He tends to get better in a new area every time you watch and this time around it looks like him driving ability and finishing near the rim have improved. He’s got enough size now that he can matchup with most players on the wing. He’s really improved in his body control while he is in the air, able to make creative plays with fluidity. He continues to expand and doesn’t have a major flaw in his game right now.
Eric Hunter Jr. – 6’2/SG/2018 – Indianapolis Tindley – Hunter has really shown an improvement in his athleticism in the last six months and it seems to be translating a bit more on the court. He’s moving more fluidly through the lane and floating a bit more in the air which is allowing him a bit more time to make a play. He started off slow in this game, though, but came on strong in the middle part of the game as his three-point shot started falling. He scored 20 points on 8/16 shooting, 4/9 from deep. The athleticism showed up a bit more in his rebounding and especially against Connersville.
Walter Ellis – 6’4/PG/2018 – South Bend Adams – Ellis is a tall guard with good enough handles to warrant playing on the ball a ton. Not to mention, his jump shots has really improved since the summer. He’s much more assertive and willing to let it fly. He started off 1/9 from the field but got going quickly in the second half and hit ⅞ in the second half. He’s taken a big step forward and now has the ability to create and produce, all from the guard spot. Long term, not sure if he can stick on the ball but in the right system, he could be really good. If not, he has enough size to still be a good off-ball scorer.
